Well I’d like to believe that, but for every competent person he fires, he replaces them with a loyalist and he hasn’t had a problem finding people to serve in his cult. Look at ICE. His own personal gestapo. The military follows orders. They demonstrated that when they reported for duty in Democratic states. Also think of the monumental consequences of disobeying an order.

How loyal are they really? They came up in the same system their fired boss did. They probably have a loyalty to their boss, and have probably even had the talk with the boss about what to do when he gets fired.
I suspect a lot of those who took over aren’t going to go along with atrocities against Americans either, they just haven’t had to prove it yet.
And now we’re hearing about them tossing the Commander-In-Chief out of the room when there is real work to be done. They are already operating essentially independently from him. I also hear that they all hate Hegseth, every one of them. I am also hearing reports of soldiers at bases around the world resisting any talk of going to Iran. MAGA isn’t as in control of this military as they think they are.
When it comes down to firing on American citizens, I doubt they’ll do it. If they don’t, it’s a big problem for MAGA. And if they do fire on American citizens, for ANY reason, it’s a BIG problem for MAGA.
I kind of don’t think they would fire on Americans, at least I hope not, but I believe this administration will push that as far as it can and so far with Congress approving everything, they’ve gone much further than I thought they would. I’m scared. I hope you’re right.
