Amazon search is becoming largely unusable now that they show you what they want to sell you, instead of what you want to buy. I was trying to buy a phone case the other day, which requires that I get one made for my phone, as everyone knows, and it kept showing me cases for other phones that I don’t own.
Which is a huge problem. The people who have been tasked with shouldering the difficult decisions of our legislative and judicial systems are derelict of duty.

If it makes you feel any better, I can afford to, and still don’t. There’s really no point anymore. You can spend half that and still get a processor that’ll do literally everything you want it to do with overhead to spare. Benchmarks are well past the point of actual use now.
It’s reasonable for a high-end bleeding edge processor. Some of them are a couple hundred dollars more. It’s more than I’d spend these days, since computing power is so great that even the 20th-30th most powerful processor will do everything you need it to do, but some people are willing to spend a fortune to have the best of the best.
This 120 Watt processor will have a suggested retail price of $479 USD.
Not terrible, but not great. Let’s see if they’re actually available at that price.

Without getting into the heat death of the universe and all that, I can think of something that happens much, much sooner. I’m only middle aged and I already don’t like where the world is going. Can you imagine being centuries, or eons past the era you identified with? Can you imagine how insufferable young people and old people alike would seem when you have centuries worth of life experience and wisdom? Can you imagine a horde of little edge lords on the internet confidently yet incorrectly telling you about the signing of the Declaration of Independence, when you were there when it was signed?
