That’s unfair. They would wait until you got septic, treat you, and eventually sell your debt to a third party debt collector who would proceed to hunt you down like a run away slave. Stop spreading your communist lies about our traditional American values.
You wouldn’t have to go septic, you can go into an ER before then. They’ll treat you then write you a prescription you may not be able to afford. Then you have 2 paths. If you recover, even without the meds, you are still left with a massive medical debt that is then sold to a 3rd party. If you don’t recover you go back to the hospital as septic, and you get even more medical debt to be sold.
Great system
Looking at Israel and knowing America is a settler colonial country with kindred mentalities, it occurs to me that people and numbers were at one point necessary if only for the purpose of settling land; as an asset people are no longer necessary for settling land, but can still be used for exploiting other countries.
It never really occurred to me that Israel are calling their settlers settlers because they see themselves in the same way as American pioneers expanding out into the frontier. It really brings to mind what those pioneers actually were and what they did.
Do Israelis use the word “settlements” or their equivalent of it? I didn’t see mention of that on Wiki but it did say some pro Palestine people also use the word “colonies” which is an even more poignant term.
They are referred to as settlers, I assume that comes from the translation of what they call themselves in Hebrew? Do the Palestinians refer to the places the Israeli settlers move to as colonies or their own towns as colonies? Not sure the Palestinians can colonies something they’ve lived in for hundreds of years? Is this also a translation issue?
I meant that pro Palestinian people use the word “colonies” about the Israeli settlements. As for what the Hebrew word is and especially what the connotations of it are (if different from the English meaning), that’s the question.
Do you want kidnappings off the streets and forced conscription? Because that right thuyer is exactly how you get it, boyeeee!
These texts on a black/white background without any further context feels very disjointed to me, but this one’s about the US and I’m not American so I probably just lack the context. But this format often feels like a cut off part of a conversation I wasn’t part of

Hehe somehow I figured this would happen. Now what we need is for it to be posted to some other lemmy group
