Almost 40 years ago. I was trying on black doc marten boots at the mall. She was standing off to the side and said “they look good. You should get them.” I awkwardly replied “uh thanks” then walked the opposite direction to the cashier to pay. Never saw her again lol
It feels like anybody with an alternative, subcultural look had some sort of impact on me when I was a child. People with these really big sweat pants and dreads, punks, goths, and so many more people who looked “interesting” to child-me. And today, I still refuse to look “normal” in my everyday life because these people showed me that I can be whoever the heck I want (to a great extent, at least. I’ll still dress up a bit for an interview or whatever)
Totally. I never fully gave up the strappy goth look or loose fit / baggy pants during the hipster skinny jeans era. Its refined over the decades. Now that they seem to be coming back I’m getting so many complements about how I’m schooling the younger kids on pulling it off well. I’m in my 40s reference. Screw chasing fashion. Own what you like and rock it.
alternative, subcultural look
Wait. I’m not getting something here.
That happened and I’m perfectly normal today. What do you mean? ( ˘͈ ᵕ ˘͈♡)

What is normal anyway? (I’m probably not either but I don’t care).

Where is that from? I love those irises
I Love Amy, which is a yuri manhua about a yandere enlisting the help of a shy girl to get a boy. It’s probably in my top 5 and an automatic recommendation for anybody interested in the genre
Awwww, that was such a nice story! Read it today in one sitting. Good recommendation!
I would genuinely love an animated adaptation; it’d work so well!
It shall be read. That sounds cool af.
Huh, I’m a dude and this is (and has been since childhood) basically my dream attraction. Obviously only based on the visual, but damn does this image make me feel things.
Fair skinned brunettes ftw
Me seeing girls with flannel shirts over ratty jeans
For me, it was Winona Rider in Beetlejuice. I wasn’t even old enough to understand why I liked watching that movie so often.
yes it has become the feminine ideal i strive to achieve, and also i want to date a girl like that
the Hex Girls sent my life on an entirely different trajectory. Maybe I could have had healthier relationships if I encountered them at a less critical part of my life.

Okay, someone explain this one to me, thx
Would.
I was about to downvote because I thought they were saying “board” as in boring.
I see
I think it’s “wood”, as in “I would”, in reference to the lady in the picture.
Same. Exact same.
