yeah sorry. sometimes you get the folks that make comments like that around it being pointless or innefective which always sorta irks me because its like WTF you doing? The repeat every month suggests that nothing will change and you will just be doing it forever as opposed to forcing ice to go someplace else or having bavino taken out or even finally getting enough congressmen to stop appropriations bills.

I participate but strongly feel it is ineffective. And i believe it will not change anything.

I enjoy it. But all it does is getting outside, meeting people, exercising and a picnic. These are all important

Yeah I see that it alreadys has changed things and prevented things. Without blow back I think things would have been on about the same timeline as hitler and its the reason he has not been able to imposed changes to state voting laws, has had to realease funding to states and get rid of birthright citizenship so far. Heck the whole ice thing is because he could see he could not take total power within a year. Its why the bonus system is over 5 years so that they can claw them back for pretty much all the idiots who buy into it.

The proof to me is its obvious trumps words and actions that he expected to do whatever he wants and his majority party in all branches has not allowed him to achieve that when we are over a year in despite their best unefforts. As much as the complete maga nuts and the administration rage against the protests they help move people who would otherwise be disengaged. It is the reason they are scared as heck now about elections.

There is a lot going on in this country, many other things cause restraints too. Also I have a different view of elections and I don’t think the next year is relevant ( I do expect democrats to win congress).

Trying to isolate the effect of one movement is hard. I were a bad guy, I would actually approve of these monthly marches because they let off steam in a non threatening way

I certainly don’t feel like it lets off steam. Im certainly one of the folks who don’t want to be out there but the administration has created a situation where it has to be. Mainly by not following the constitution. It makes me feel better to see all the people who feel the same and further makes me feel better to see how very small the people willing to show their support is. Of course I am sad that so many still do not come out but there are also neat things like people showing they would be there if they could and likely go to other things. But taking the steam being built up by the blocked up constitution. I don’t see that. No I know comes off a protest saying oh that hit the spot and now they don’t need to anymore. Instead I see them more fired up and seeing that they need to keep on pushing and collaborating and figuring out how they can not obey.

I see the current protests as being the most that can be done now: perhaps there are not any mechanisms to do more at this time.

I think there will be many years of gradual decline of law and order in the federal government, and these are still early days for the decline.

I see movements evolving later that are run by different philosophies and peoples. With some overlap between the participants. But the current protests are not necessary for the later movements.
