This is the view out the northern window in my bathroom. My neighbor has been cleaning their yard for years, which has just involved them piling garbage in a trailer. The trailer has never been emptied, and At this point I doubt they could move it without the majority of the trash falling out.
Luckily the fence on that side of the yard is 6 feet, so I do not really see the trash under normal circumstances.
That’s a mighty fine trash pile right there.
See, this would be a good use of AI.
Just have skynet fly a drone over there and blow the pile to kingdom come.
When I clicked to see the image, I was honestly expecting the trash pile to be a Tesla Truck.
It will eventually get heaped on there no doubt.
Man could you just imagine what could happen if someone walking by just happened to flick a lit cigarette or 20 into that pile?
Stick a hedge made of cypress trees or something else dense and tall there?

Show off 🥲
Depending on your locality, your town, county, or state may have laws against this. They’re often health department statues against providing something that attracts pests like rats and snakes.
Came here for this, call housing code enforcement. If they exist where you are.
Do you really like your neighbor? Do you not live somewhere that has like property standards? Trying to figure out why you would put up with that next door
Yeah this is a case where some kind of HOA or city blight regulations would actually be a good thing.

It’s hilarious that the “too lazy to empty the trash bin” behavior can scale like this. Worst case for me is I pick up a couple things that fall when I empty it. For them… well as you said it doesn’t appear emptiable!

I was skeptical this cat shelf design would hold, but I picked one up and for the last year it’s been my cat’s favorite thing. Highly recommend them. Just make sure the suction cups aren’t warped, you put them in hot water, clean the window, follow all instructions etc.

A strategically placed incendiary device would take care of that pile.
A “strategically placed” incendiary device that is placed in your next door neighbor’s lot? Right over the fence from your own house? That doesn’t seem very strategic at all.
“Cast fireball!”
And all the smoke will make some nice new stars.
Ha ha what a horror. Where do you live, and can’t you do something about it?
Shoot fire arrows at it!
Check the wind first.
Good thing you don’t live under an HOA. They are authoritarian pricks who go around telling people they can’t pile up trash in their yards where it is visible to others.
Yeah I’ll take ugly neighborhoods over predatory organizations run by nimby’s designed to keep housing prices up.
Yeah, they would say NIYBY to your garbage pile. And that could make their homes more desirable to buy and live in (“keep housing prices up”). Definitely don’t want that.
You don’t need to live in a HOA for that. I don’t think we even have those in my country, but the local council here would act if alerted to this.
So, in your country, the government acts like an HOA.
More like the HOAs want to act like a government. But we already have governments. We don’t need two of them.
You might not see it under normal circumstances, but I’m sure you smell it.
A couple gallons of gasoline should clear that right up. Neighbor may even thank you.
