I personally agree but racist content is awful. Can’t fault anyone for defederating because of it.

That makes sense, but I think it might be better to just make pro left-wing communities. Like a pro trans community. Left wingers don’t like seeing content they disagree with, after all, so they’d hate to use a community featuring opposing viewpoints.
