Literally has been used as an intensifier for over 200 years. The Oxford English Dictionary includes the definition of “figuratively”. Jane Austen, F. Scott Fitzgerald, Henry David Thoreau, James Fenimore Cooper, James Joyce, Charles Dickens, and Mark Twain all used it that way in their writing.

Every time you’re asked to repeat yourself, use different words which mean the same thing. Saying the same thing over and over and expecting to get a different response is useless and frustrating.

They are not vital. Almost no countries in the world practice trial by jury other than The US, the UK, Australia, Canada, and Ireland. The US is the only country in the world that uses trial by jury for civil cases.

The law is complex and nuanced. Most people lack the understanding and background to apply the law justly and uniformly. It is an antiquated idea that should go.
