Way back in the day, Tomb Raider, there was this pit, with a break away floor, and water beneath it.
Fell, hit the platform breaking her neck, then the platform dropped her in the water, twitching and drowning. It was horrifying!

Yup. This. To the point where, playing FFVII the first time I was like “Oh, shit, better not give Aerith anything important…”

I don’t remember all the details, but yeah, dad went off to get help and died, but the car was found saving everyone else.

“The Wilderness Doesn’t Give a Shit About You”
People forget that #1 fact even in states that aren’t Alaska.
I remember, years ago, this tech writer driving with his family through Oregon. They went down the wrong road in winter because the GPS told him to and it damn near killed all of them.

Jesus, 19 years ago now.

That’s been a joke in the Playstation community for years now:
“Stability Improvements.”
Well, shit, we must have the most stable system in the universe at this point…
Is this because of the UK age verification thing?

Yeah, I should have specified, any species of owl that migrates from Europe to America… Not sure what that image is on about. Everything seems wrong.
For starters, the average owl doesn’t weigh 16 pounds, that’s immediately proven false with a simple Google search. The smallest is an ounce, the largest just over 9 pounds.
On top of that, I can’t find any species that migrates from Europe to America…
So false from the jump.

Flashlights.

We bid ours out to four different vendors, lowest was $8K, highest was $13K.

And the $2,200 wasn’t for each kids individual artwork, it was to produce a collective scrapbook from all the kids in the school, plus photos, etc.
$2,200 is still insane on a per-piece basis. It shouldn’t cost more than $50 a piece depending on the size of the book. I could see $2,200 being printing costs for the whole run.

My guess would be, assuming nothing nefarious, 😉 They’re easy to write, cheap to produce, and draw an audience. So from a media perspective, what’s not to like?

It’s been this way since I was a kid. The cynic in me says it’s intentional to desensitize us to the police state.
That’s easily, what? 70% of television? I’m too lazy to look at actual TV schedules, but god, it feels that way. The Law and Order shows ALONE.
(NGL - I loved Homicide)

“that have the Microsoft 365 desktop client apps.”
Whew! I’m in the clear then!

Is it worth buying though? I felt burned by Pre-Sequel and 3 was kind of “Meh”.
Not concerned with Denuvo since I rarely buy or play games on PC, I just want to know if it’s worth playing.

I live in Multnomah County and the law here is that in order to carry a loaded weapon, concealed or unconcealed, you must have a concealed carry permit. Yes, there are charges for it.
Is it enforced? Oh, HELL NO. Not unless you’re engaged in doing some other crime, then they’ll tack it on as a value added crime.
Oh, it’s real!
Nah, I had seen it before.
It was hilarious, and less of a control issue and more of a “2 death scenarios executing at the same time.”
