Socialism requires that the workers have democratic control over the means of production. Nordic countries are not socialist, the working class isn’t in control there.

Equating Hitler and Stalin or Nazi Germany and the USSR is holocaust trivialization, according to Jewish holocaust scholars. Dovid Katz did a popular article on it that you can probably search.

Being less of a misogynist, having any experiences that involve antagonistic sexual harassment in a similar context, studying gender relations in an academic way?

Apparently he was treating you like crap at work, so I’d guess that wasn’t his intent.

You’ve never been at the tender mercies of a man who thinks you’re hot and holds a position of power over you, have you?

Comments like this make it seem like you only care about trans people as a cudgel to use against people

which we’ve seen so clearly the past decade just loves having fascist states in its ranks.

Wait are you being sarcastic here? Lmao

But at least AKs are a symbol of liberation movements. US military equipment, not so much.

Good friends are a better cure to loneliness than one person, no matter how cool they are

I mean… on sight doesn’t mean they’re already chasing, the point is to avoid that

Large prey animals in general. I see a hippo im running

No, because humans hunt bears and bears will kill humans

Yes a big ass bear is clearly more dangerous

If it is a black bear, which 99 percent of the time it would be, nah, the man is more dangerous. Black bears are scaredy cats.

You’re thinking Emmitt Til and that wasn’t because the white woman was afraid, it was because she was willing to go along with the white men.

If the US truly controlled Israel, they could force them to comply with UN resolutions, force them to ban settlements or force them into a ceasefire.

Could, but why would they want to? They have a little buddy doing their dirty work for them.

Got your cart before the horse: the US controls Israel, the control Israeli lobbyists have over it is secondary to that.

and that’s something you can objectively prove, lol.

Weren’t you literally just claiming that if Russia stayed in the war the nazis wouldn’t have happened?

Bwahahaha

The repeated Bolshevik genocides of Jewish people.

As someone who had jewish family which survived the holocaust, lol, wtf? The worst instance of antisemitism in the USSR was the doctor’s plot, which wasn’t a genocide.

I’ll not comment on your apparent belief that Nazism was some fated historical inevitability, which sure seems like something a Nazi would believe and not a Marxist.

Nazijacketing me for thinking that Russia staying in ww1 wouldn’t have stopped the rise of nazism? Wow.

Yes, slightly improved metrics sure compensate for the systemic nazi rehabilitation /s

And for the overall lowering of living conditions across the former USSR /s

The one boycotted by 6 of the 15 territories?

That’s the one, where Russians had less interest in the USSR than the participating territories.

Or the ones that followed in each that led to them declaring independence which in turn led to the collapse of the soviet union?

Sure, and not the presidential coup. Get real.

The baltics were 3 of those boycotting territories and we had similar referendums for independence which, I’m pretty sure, all got over 70% support.

And the Baltics are doing so much better now.

I’m reminded of a story of Lithuania charging holocaust survivors for fighting as partisans against the nazis in WW2. It happened in 2009. They’ve gotten more fascist since. Wonder what itd be like if the USSR was never overthrown.

But yes. It would have.

Remember this comment so you can cringe at it when you’re less ignorant :)

Hey, remind me how that worked out in the end? Did the People’s Government get a seat at Versailles? No? Had to fight a war against fucking Poland first and then get even more people killed by Germany later?

And your argument is “the decision was unpopular,” not that it was wrong.

Wait are you out here arguing that Russia should have continue fighting ww1? Seriously? And that refusing to fight the war led to nazi Germany and their exterminationist war against the soviet union?

Bwahahahahahaha

Meanwhile, the only criticism you launch at the Mensheviks is… They wanted to keep fighting the imperial powers?

Bwahahahaha yeah that’s why Tsarist and Kerensky Russia was aligned with France and England

Bwahahahaha

At some point you gotta just come to the conclusion that you haven’t read enough on this topic and pick up some books instead of speaking garbage.

Also “the only criticism” that’s the fucking big criticism that got them overthrown, which you’d fucking know if you studied history.

Yes, we must have a middle ground between having parasites and not having parasites. Thank you enlightened centrist.

You need to look at the referendum to maintain the soviet union before you say shit about imperialist Russia. Non-russian SSRs were most enthusiastic about keeping the USSR around.

And socialist nations like the GDR were better on gay rights in the late 80s than capitalist nations are now.

And Cuba has the most lgbt equality of anywhere right now

And China is opening state sponsored trans Healthcare clinics, including for children

Meanwhile in the US if you’re trans you can’t live in half of the country and you’re worried about getting hatecrimed in the other half. And you have pundits of the capitalist class calling you pedophiles and “the jews of gender”

Also, gay liberation movements in the imperial core were mostly led by communists, you can’t give credit to capitalism for being forced into granting concessions.

Yeah continue ww1, so fucking based

When people complaining about your side latch onto factions that they know nothing about it is kinda really funny

Sorry, are you saying red guards enforced every other police state? Or that all police states exist to protect the revolution? Both statements seem very nonsensical

Because Chinese police and military exist for different reasons than US police and military

STAR or ranked choice voting wouldn’t really fix the big issue. The issue is that we live in a dictatorship of the bourgeoisie, not that we don’t have enough bourgeois parties able to compete.

Another key difference is one is aimed at executives and businesses and the other is aimed at everyone

Cuba literally developed vaccines without IP nonsense, your argument kinda rings hollow

I mean it is true to an extent, it is just treating consent as an absolute and not a spectrum. Power imbalances absolutely impact where that needle is.

I’ve had lots of sex like “yes please”. I’ve had sex where I was like “ill probably enjoy enjoy this” or “I genuinely don’t really care one way or another and it will please my partner” (who I’m not vulnerable to in a societally enforced way) and all of them would fit the binary of consensual but are at various points on the spectrum.

The last example is an illustrative example where it would clearly fall at different points on the spectrum if I was more or less dependent on/vulnerable to my partner.

Sex negative feminism had some points that were correct to some extent, sex negative and sex positive feminism both synthesized into a more sex neutral position for a reason.

Democracy in which the bourgeoisie are denied political agency as class relations are in the process of being dissolved. The problem isn’t actually democracy, the problem is that in a dictatorship of the bourgeoisie (democracy where capitalists are in control) capitalist interests override democracy.

Not that democracy doesn’t have problems inherently, but they’re pretty minor compared to the problems we are facing.

Any attack on a space asset of the DPRK will be considered a declaration of war
Press Statement by Spokesman for DPRK Ministry of National Defence Pyongyang, December 2 (KCNA) -- A spokesman for the Ministry of National Defence of the DPRK released the following press statement "Any attack on space asset of the DPRK will be deemed declaration of war against it" on Saturday: The brigandish nature of the U.S., which regards it as its main lever for realizing its hegemonic wild ambition to commit outrageous and unlawful military intervention against sovereign countries, has been brought to light more clearly, occasioned by the DPRK's reconnaissance satellite launch. An official concerned of the U.S. Space Command recently spouted rubbish hinting at a military attack on the DPRK's reconnaissance satellite, saying that the U.S. can decrease the enemy country's outer space operation capabilities by employing diverse "reversible and irreversible methods". American military affairs experts comment that the U.S. Space Force can physically destroy not only opponent's satellite and satellite earth station but also get rid of enemy state's space force through jamming and virus-using cyber attack. The U.S. Space Force's deplorable hostility toward the DPRK's reconnaissance satellite can never be overlooked as it is just a challenge to the sovereignty of the DPRK, and more exactly, a declaration war against it. Article 8 of the "Treaty on Principles Governing the Activities of States in the Exploration and Use of Outer Space, including the Moon and Other Celestial Bodies", the main international outer space treaty, stipulates that any object launched into outer space definitely falls under the jurisdiction of the launcher state and the ownership of it never changes no matter it remains in outer space or returned to the earth. This means that the reconnaissance satellite "Malligyong-1" is a part of the territory of the DPRK where its sovereignty is exercised. Furthermore, reconnaissance satellite is not regarded as a space weapon by international law for its technical features aimed at observation. If the reconnaissance satellite of the DPRK is regarded by the U.S. as a "military threat" that must be gotten rid of, countless spy satellites of the U.S. flying above the Korean peninsula region every day, exclusively tasked with monitoring the major strategic spots of the DPRK, should be deemed the primary targets to be destroyed by the armed forces of the DPRK. By openly unveiling its aggression scheme to mount a military attack on a space asset of other sovereign country, a part of its properties and territory, the U.S. has proved itself its true colors as the chief culprit of evils seeking to realize its wild ambition for dominating the world by turning outer space, common wealth of humankind, into a theater of war. It is the mission of the armed forces of the DPRK, specified by its constitution and other laws, to exercise their war deterrent to protect the state sovereignty and territorial integrity in case a lethal military attack is carried out against the country's strategic assets or it is judged that such attack is imminent. In case the U.S. tries to violate the legitimate territory of a sovereign state by weaponizing the latest technologies illegally and unjustly, the DPRK will consider taking responsive action measures for self-defence to undermine or destroy the viability of the U.S. spy satellites by exercising its legitimate rights vested by international and domestic laws. -0- www.kcna.kp (Juche112.12.2.)

Some U.S. officials are frustrated at the pace of Ukraine’s counteroffensive, which has gained less than 100 square miles of territory.
