there is no amount of waste you could produce that would come even close to what a single grocery store does. I worked at one of the loblaw owned stores as a kid and it was absolutely shameful how much just got thrown away. And that’s not even including the stuff that logically has to be thrown out like when people return perishables you can’t trust them to be safe enough to sell

I have an irritatingly strong sense of smell but as long as I’m not wearing a respirator I can smell smokers from a kinda freakish distance and none could ever sneak up on me. Me saying “morning paul” the moment he enters the room while wearing a sleeping eye mask and lazing on the break room sofa weirded out the others for some time. I can still smell the mixture of knockoff marlboro and mint superslims when I close my eyes.

It also doesn’t matter how hot someone is, once they are in scent range my brain replaces what my eyes are seeing with one of those smoke room podium type ash trays. Its just a side effect of super nose powers.

this is me guessing having never read this but seen enough first chapters of similar sounding things:

Opens like those dime a dozen “I was kicked out of my party by the hero and even though I’m a loser my power was secretly OP and now I’m drowning in pussy” type mangoes, but its the childhood friend being kicked out because she isn’t subservient to the power tripping manwhore hooking up with every vaguely female humanoid and bullying everyone into doing whatever he wants because of the hero title.

She goes home or family back home finds out one way or another. Hero’s dad sets out to give his boy a spanking and “I didn’t raise you to be this way”. He’s totally jacked and his son never came close, and single because his wife died from illness or during birth or something. He either hooks up with the son’s former fianc or her mom. Maybe both. Then he goes everywhere cleaning up after his son and bangin women that are unnaturally grateful for things merely being returned to how they should have been in the first place.

Eventually the son is deemed unworthy and whatever the son had that made him the hero transfers to his dad by whatever higher power granted it in the first place. It becomes public knowledge and the son gets shunned and is put in a situation where he has to see that everything it could have had belongs to his dad now and then made into a slave or something and dad is like “I still love you son but like I said when you left, you’re an adult. That means you have to take responsibility for your actions.”

It’s not a theory. I’d put 100 bucks on it being at least 80% correct. I’d put more but I’m broke. I also wanted to put the girl saying something cursed like “you’re so… fatherly… I never had a dad before… swoon” but even with my obvious deep understanding of how japanese writers think, that might be taking things too far.

Edit: I was just thinking about why there’s a hero and how I missed it but I’m thinking there’s probably a demon lord but it’s a woman and she’s also down hard for dadbod.

All of them. Put home in a separate partition and just rename /home/kiol to /home/kiol2 before installing the next one and be careful not to format that partition. Also keep a space separated text list of all of your needed programs to paste into whatever package manager command in a file somewhere in your home dir. Go into distrowatch and try the most niche ones nobody has ever heard about too. Become THE distro hopper.

It’s quite excellent even on some pretty old hardware, but I’ve had a couple middle aged laptops consistently fail during installation but I put zero effprt into diagnostics as it was mainly just trying for the hell of it.

Its my desktop daily driver though and its probably going to stay that way for the foreseeable future
