Hmm…this has me thinking, maybe I’ll change up my Hugo site a little, so that there’s no dropdown menu - it’s the only thing javascript is needed for.
Thank you for this, some points that I’d not even considered, and a helpful reminder to myself to try and get that javascript from 99% to 100% unused. :)
I want to be a great parent, and be able to make games and/or music for a living - dream I shall!
Short of that, I want to have a pet penguin and live in a quirky house by the sea like a character in some kids book, that sounds excellent.

I do like using (proprietary sadly edit: see below) AutoHotkey on the Windows machine at work, aaaand thanks to learning about Hammerspoon I’ve been bitten with the itch to do this on Linux at home! :)

As much as I’m a proud Linux user and Microsoft aren’t at all in line with my values, I upvoted as this is massively relevant to the world of retro computing, and I found it interesting. :)

It’s mostly things I’ve made or been interested in (music, game projects, musical web nonsense), but mostly just… I’ve always had this site, and am attached to it in a way?
It used to be the name of a comic I made for fun, and the gets used for everything to remind me to keep that feeling of fun and making stuff for enjoyment. :)
Must admit, I’m frequently torn between the private nature of why I binned facebook vs writing there, but meh, I’m happy and that’ll do.
From a read of their wikipedia, it looks like they’ve been consistently on Unreal :) I can imagine they’d have some people who know that program back to front if they still work there! :)
I tried to install unreal, and it was deeply not fun (linux, epic launcher, disk space, other pains), so I’ve never used it. :)

I “broke” linux mint just by trying to pop KDE on, had to timeshift because it messed up my keyboard layout and a whole bunch of other things with my display.
I don’t know how people do these crazy changes without pain, and have a feeling the answer is simply “there’s pain” 😂

I noticed since jumping from windows I’m missing Ableton, and it’s been a mental block of knowing that I’ll need to choose a new way to do things. It’s daft as I loved ardour and LMMS back in 2014, and I’m sure they’re even better now :) I totally need to dedicate some time to music, it’s been a neglected piece of my soul for a bit too long. :)
Edit: also, Plug Data looks brilliant! I loved MaxMSP, and it got me into game making/coding. :)
For me, the last “ah yes, the future” moment was going from “broadband” to seeing real fiber at a friend’s house that was 100x faster. Insanity at the time :)

Definitely! It’s a solid game, and each game is pretty self-contained, especially new vegas as the setting and writing is very “self-contained”. There’s nods and things, but I never felt like I missed something. :)
Also it’s just a lot of fun, especially if you like choices and RPG things like perks :)
I can recommend the burger recipe that uses cream crackers! :) Nothing more insightful to contribute besides that though as I’ve not tried other recipes
(usually the BBC have a version with “less fancy ingredients”, by which I mean “doesn’t assume I have my life together and can afford to have fresh vegetables on hand in my fridge” - this is probably a me problem lol)

I loved this game! It’s great to hear someone else’s feeling on it, you’re totally right about the interface, but it was easy to forgive its limitations because of how engaged I was. :) I loved the feeling of frantic problem solving as you connect the dots near the end on things.
I am now imagining a happy future where all indie games star Harrison Ford searching for lost treasure in some way…
