Maybe publishing houses will never get the memo, but the Helldivers team knew to make a fun game first, and THEN added amazing graphics. If the market prooves they prefer that dev cycle ethos, it will bring change.

It’s more to the point that tasks are easier for neurotypical people to accomplish because the world was built for their minds. Neurodivergent people have to build up skills and workarounds for functions that seem to come naturally to NTs, eventually creating a mosaic of little crutches and scripts to follow in order to fit in or even function at all in modern society.

NDs don’t have “the box.” NTs are born with “the box.” Society says you must stand on the box (that it’s assumed everyone has inherently) in order to participate. So the ND makes their box out of the many tiny tools and workarounds they build to “stand on the box” that they don’t have.

Yet language and abstraction are the core of intelligence. You cannot have intelligence without 2 way communication, and if anything, your brain contains exactly that dictionary you describe. Ask any verbal autistic person, and 90% of their conversations are scripted to a fault. However, there’s another component to intelligence that the Turing Test just scrapes against. I’m not philosophical enough to identify it, but it seems like the turing test is looking for lightning by listening for rumbling that might mean thunder.

When they don’t have a counterargument, they attack your character. It shows just how strong their foundation of understanding is that a simple debate or differing viewpoint is a dire threat to their entire worldview. It’s extremely pathetic tbh.

I’ve only experienced that from them since I’ve known them. Not one wants a good faith discussion until you grovel to their fundamentalist tripe. Unity to them means blindly following their half-understood theories of centuries-dead men, and anyone who questions a lick of it gets the 4chan swarm treatment.
