We had a cold front move through yesterday…dropped it about a degree. haha.

I LOVE thunderstorms at night! If one passes during the day, it just makes it 10x more humid .

I need AC for about 6 months out of the year (used to be three, maybe three and half) here in the east/south US. The humidity is so bad it makes 90F seem like 110F and even the shade won’t cool you down and it drops very little when the sun goes down.

I’m replying because my electrical panel is being replaced right now and I have no power (the router is on a batt backup)…it heated up in here and I’m able to psychologically deal with it for now…if the installation goes south and I’ll be without power for more than a few hours I’ll take the cat and head to my sister’s place :)

XFCE on Arch…been using it for years.

I’ve dabbled since the late 90s but didn’t switch completely until about 2019. I mainly learned on Mandrake and Ubuntu but Arch made me learn so much more.

Now I have two of them, a daily driver and a plex server. The only thing I use my windows machine for is gaming and editing.

Arch will force you to learn and it’s loads of fun!

I might just dump it altogether, I only lurk anyway and the communities I subscribe to are mainly for humor. I haven’t checked it in several days now.

I have a separate account for Lemmy, mastodon and pixelfed. I kinda like it that way for now, and I don’t want to have to create an all encompassing account and lose all of my connections across instances.

Unless someone comes up in an easy way to do that.
