When the transition from cutscene to player control is so smooth, that you don’t realize and die to the oncoming monster.
This happened to be in No Man’s Sky. Somewhere close to release, after being stuck in the eternal loading screen where the stars are whizzing by, a white screen with a circle in the bottom appeared. Thought it was another loading screen, but apparently the letter ‘E’ was hidden in the circle, which you needed to hold. Felt embarrassed when I got past the white screen…
Don’t feel embarrassed. The developers failed.

This happened relatively frequently to me in Horizon Forbidden West. The PS5 is done loading almost immediately but lets me sit on the loading screen like a dummy.
I remember doing this with Elden Ring. Music just slapped too hard
I still remember this being my first experience in No Man’s Sky.
I have also never put my phone in the refrigerator and my sandwich on my charging pad…
