The bowl may be moved 3 inches to the left. It’s amazing how often that’s rendered something effectively invisible for me. I think I could be holding the bowl and not know where it is.
I’ve done this with my phone. I was using my phone to purchase something for my phone. I needed some info about my phone to finalize the purchase, so I put my phone down to look for my phone. I then got frustrated when I couldn’t find it anywhere in the house, so I gave up and went to go save the purchase for later when I saw my phone laying right where I left it to go look for it. 🤡
I was looking for my favorite knife the other day. It’s always on the counter. Couldn’t find it for the life of me. I was very upset. Saw it after I used a lesser knife bc I needed a spatula. Apparently my wife has the audacity to clean the knife and put it in a drawer. 🤬
Absolutely, but even worse is a slightly changed UI in an application or website. Or THE HORROR: Supermarket changed shelf of something.
This is me but the bowl doesn’t even disappear my stuff just isn’t in it.
I dropped it on the chair in the living room, because there is also my wallet, and there is no way i don’t remember where my wallet is when i’m late in the morning.
Where did the bowl go??? This disturbs me greatly
This guy took it
My wife fulfills this role.
My mom does this. Can’t count how many times I’ve been looking for something only to be told by her “I didn’t touch it. I never touch your stuff. You must have lost it.” Only for 3 hours later her to find it and go “Oh right, I moved it here so it’d be easier for you to find it.”
Worst thing that ever happened regarding key displacement: Had a complicated day planned with my GF, both basically rushing off in opposite directions and doing our things. She forgot something though and rushed back in. When trying to leave again just about 10 seconds later, she couldn’t find the key she just used!
We were both searching, no success. Had to make the day work with just one key for both of us. The key was found weeks later in the middle under the bed, covered by other things and dust.
Best theory: They fell on the tip of her shoe while she was walking and got catapulted, kept sliding under things that were already there. But we’ll never know.
Nah, it was definitely the compsognathus
Well you can say it’s…
Unbelieva-BOWL
I’d say it’s un-BOWL-ievable
I managed to solve that problem with a key chain that is tightly attached to my pants and so hard to remove that I think twice before washing my pants. Almost ran out with the wrong pair of pants a few times, but hey, that’s it. Only 1 lockout in 20 years.
But everything else should have a locate feature like your phone. Around the mid 80s, there was a short lived trend: A keychain that answers when you whistle a specific sequence to it. What happened with that?
I’m that cool guy you see wearing all his keys on a carabiner on his belt loop. Am I going rock climbing later? Haha, no, either they’re attached to me or they don’t exist anymore
He’s already outside. So there never was a door. And the bowl and keys are just figments of his imagination.
Did the rock get smaller?
It’s hard to tell, because the scene zooms out, but it looks proportionately the same.
I had to travel out of the country for work, so the night before I got all packed up and put my passport and wallet on the end table where I always kept them. Next morning I woke up and was getting ready to head to the airport and my wallet was gone. I tore apart my entire house trying to find it. Just as I was about to call the airline to reschedule my flight, my wife found it. It has slipped off the end table hit the arm of the couch and got stuck in a little cut out decorations around the edge of the end table. Just perfectly balanced, so it didn’t fall when I was pulling everything apart.
I have had this very same experience more times than I care to recall
I have a set of Russian magazines that were over $100 before the invasion of Ukraine. I worry about them getting stuck in some random place.
