Can’t afford to leave the country but at least we can get out of the South.
It was a hard decision. All I’ve ever known. I’m going to miss a lot of things. Especially the land and water.
I feel like I’ve lost my people. I don’t trust people that look like me and talk like me. It makes me sad. It makes me angry when they think I’m like them and say hateful things about other different people.
I keep my mouth shut and we keep to ourselves as much as possible. We’ll be out of here soon.

My wife is WFH. I’ve been working on building a manufacturing consulting and CNC programming business. Want to buy a small mill, can probably make good money just picking up odd jobs. These days I call myself a manufacturing consultant, but I’m really just an aerospace machinist.
We’ve literally been planning this move since 2020 when everyone around us lost their fucking minds. We’re hoping we have enough saved to get a mortgage on a small play farm.
