Google Translate says it’s Japanse. I’ve seen the same sort of post on a handful of other communities today as well (oldest going back about 17 hours)
Someone on mastodon said it was a group of Japanese spammers trying to sell their services. Not anything special, just a spam wave that’s hard to stop because they keep spamming from different instances.
Makes me wonder if they’re linked with the spam accounts about changing flight tickets
Just a bunch of Japanese script kiddies targetting the fediverse and its network for some reason. There’s active measures being taken and thankfully many instances are monitoring it pretty well.
Opensource@lemmy.world is full with this stuff.
Lemmy make it clickable: !opensource@lemmy.world
Thanks
Saw those spam postings. From three different Mastodon servers, one instance was pretty small. Glad to hear active measures have been taken though I hope it was not simply blocking instances.
Question : Is spam reporting on Lemmy actually best or is it better to report directly on those Mastodon instances ?
Might be a relevant toot, not sure who is the author https://fedi.fyralabs.com/notes/9pr6thyvz5

Your Japanese is so poor for such a short sentence. you’d use GA there. also ‘nee ze’ sounds weird. you already added a conjugation to the end of the verb. Don’t learn Japanese from anime. You just sound like a fucking moron.
