I wouldn’t call adressing a burnout a Sabbatical but a sick leave, a Sabbatical is choosing to take time off work for a project, not needing to take time off work for your mental health

Weirdest I’ve seen was that voter who comes to his voting office, not to vote but to insult The president, The mayor, the volunteer and staff present, and even some of the voters we spent like 5 minutes trying to de-escalate and negotiate Please either leave or vote, but stop insulting everyone and it’s finally when the voting office chairwoman took her phone to call the cops that this guy went away. (Thanks for the extra paperwork, because event though the cops didn’t have to physically remove a person out of the voting station, we know had to describe the incident in the report, at least it was a consensual decision for every official present)
On more banal stuff I’ve seen that tall/large gentleman on crutches who put the voting booth down when trying to enter inside.

I also love-it so much, Suddently, there is day light late, you see people outside, no matter whether it’s about kids playing outside after school, or adult having an evening walk, but suddently looks like life is back
It’s not just the season, but the idea of having to change all the clocks and do our life on hour earlier/later/whatever, so now when we leave work it’s night, and when we make-up it’s dark, but there is enough light to commute to work.

Alice is missing a silent Rpg, which is played using instant messenging. That one is absolutely crazy, with a lot of potential for bleed
Blade in the dark, which is basically the latest revolution in Rpg. And led to the FITD games, it kept the yes but partial success from previous generations of PBTA games, use long term actions (aka clock) for everything (same mechanics for opening a lock, seducing the princess or fighting a guard), and has this downtime phase which is more than just spending XP. It also has flashback mechanic letting you jump to the action and plan latter
Mork Borg, the system is fine but banal. However, the weird aesthetic makes it a must have in a rpg lover collection
Do you speak the local language, if not start getting courses now, even if many person are fluent in english, not everyone will want to speak English. (You know the joke about Parisian who don’t know English if you start talking with them in English, but would switch to a perfect English if you have a slight foreign accent when speaking french)
Expect that even basic stuff won’t work the same way as you’re used too. It’s already an issue when moving between two European countries, even basic stuff like what you can legally find on a lease or how to get health coverage will drastically change.
In southern Europe people are pretty touchy/tactile and an America would feel sexually harrassed, Nordic Europe is the other way around with pretty distant people where an American would pass for way too touchy/friendly
Learn to ride a bike, and expect to walk way more than in the US, also remember that even though winter are milder, Europe is way far up north than the US
