BBC are whitewashing Israel’s genocide, and agreeing with the Epstein Uckers on all major points, while not giving you the other hidden side of the debate, or show you criticism of their own work. They will write what they are told, and what they are told is from the rich ps*chopath class…
There is no credible British news outlet, but that also goes for the rest of the Western for-profit media (all owned by the Epstein Class and will peddle anything for money !!) All of them have a pattern of mixing deliberate lies with hints of real news, bc they can’t post propaganda all the time without too many people noticing it. (although they are pushing it far, right now after many years of global chaos and the Epstein shtters narrative about other nations). British outlets are heavily controlled. So are US and all other large media outlet from the west, so you won’t ever get the real truth from them - even when they are not paid for a specific narrative. There is no “journalism” in the western US dominated information sphere anymore. Oh, and even wikipedia, and social networks are compromised by the rich and powerful pschos ! So even here at Lemmy, we get spammed by propaganda articles from these outlets… (‘The Guardian’ is weirdly enough, still considered a ‘rebellious leftie’ outlet, although they never were)
I recommend finding smaller independent journalist teams that have a small site, a video channel. and are focused on all/selected shit that BBC and western media ignores, or lies about… Fair warning: If you have mind-melted with msm for a long time, you won’t like what the independent journalists say at first, but rather quickly you start wondering about the questions and points that the msm never asks… Go for it…

Obviously you can argue about how the US is doing currently, or that their main rival just shifted over to China, or whatever you want really. But when most people think of “the Cold War” it was between the US and the USSR and currently only one of those remains standing
in 2016, Russia, the successor state to the USSR, under the direction of its president, a former KGB agent, through a campaign of propaganda targeted at the American public, managed to install their agent into the presidency of the US, which did massive harm to the US economy, government institutions, and social cohesion and stability. to me that sounds like Cold War actors achieving Cold War goals through Cold War means

I’m aware of Putin’s existence, history, and practices. I’m also aware that a lot in the world changed in the 25 years between 1991 and 2016. I’d be willing to hear an argument that Putin is trying to start Cold War 2, there’s some truth to that. But the first one? The consensus amongst most of the world is that it’s over and the US won. One man’s amition or opinion does not undo history, no matter what position he holds
