Right, but there is just as much of variety of ideas in Iran as well, and they’ve already proven themselves to be more capable and effective to date. To me, this just reeks of desperation where the US brass is acknowledging that they’re completely out of ideas and now just throwing stuff at the board in hope something sticks.
definitely desperation and i’m dreading the fact that it has a better than average chance of working; out of millions of service members, someone is likely to have a workable idea.
And out of millions of Iranians, someone will figure out how to counter it. Also, this is where materialist analysis becomes important. Cleverness goes only so far in practice. What matters are the resources at hand and the logistics. And Iran has a firm advantage fighting on their home turf.
