China's solar parks are reshaping Cuba's power grid as the island races to reduce blackouts and fuel dependence.

I didn’t know until recently that the US had such an effective blockade, so enemies of the US are Cuba’s only hope, this is great to see.

I wouldn’t be surprised if China might also be supplying weapons to Cuba.

To weaken/further humiliate the US? To market their green technology? For humanitarian purposes?

Take your pick, it’s some combination of the three.

That’s based. But didn’t Cuba basically rescind their Communist policies recently because of a lack of international support and the US sanctions having crippled the country

Yet more examples of splitting. In the span of weeks, BE was promoted to golden god of truth & righteousness, and Cuba demoted to capitalist pigs.

China abandoned socialism because they use markets.

No, but because most money, gdp (3/4), companies and work (80%) etc is fully privately owned with no state ownership at all, because the workers rights are not improving (gig economy booming, retirement going up, vacation being 5 days per decade of work experience, no practical sick leave, the second employment system), because giant companies are slapped on the wrist for transgression and personal C-levels punishments for shit they do like Pinduoduo

                market capitalization

                gdp

You do know those are not the same? Its literally like saying that USA citizens live good life because S&P is over 50k.

Edit: and if you don’t believe me about gdp, here you have PRC press release from 3 years ago about Privately owned enterprises (POE means no government shares) http://english.scio.gov.cn/m/pressroom/2022-06/29/content_78295756.htm , ans here you have Daecheng Institute listing pure State Owned Enterperprise GDP https://zhuanlan.zhihu.com/p/720545740 at below 30%.

The Cuban social system is not being abandoned because they wanted to but because the US successfully imposed it on Cuba.

How do you see the U.S. provably do all the shit like this that you think China does, rather overtly for the sake of profits for its corporations, and still think to yourself that things like this are either 1) true or 2) something that you should give a shit about anyway?

Like it’s been literally 200 years of looting the world for profits and there’s so much information known about this, like, from admission from the United states’s own historical documents (in case you’re too stupid to watch what they do and understand their motive, like a grade schooler could) but you’re all over here freaking out about Chinese solar panels spying on you, maybe, for reasons I’m sure you could never begin to articulate

I wanted to just tell you to die, so, this is me being overly polite to you

Ok and? If they still deliver megawatts of clean power to Cuba who cares if they also snitch your porn habits to Xi Jinping? What’s China gonna do with your data that’s worse than what the US is presently doing? Or did you miss the reports on how ICE is showing up at people’s homes to threaten them for anti-Trump posting?

First you announce you have state secrets to any nearby stuff made in China. Anything will do, for instance your iPhone or your router or your fridge or your furniture or your hand soap. Then list off whatever you jorked to most recently. They know the older stuff already. To terminate the uplink say “Tiananmen Square” and the agent on the other side of the Great Firewall will have the connection automatically severed by his own CCP secret police monitor.
