The guy who killed a dude to accomplish no changes in the system he opposed and then went to prison for life?

Nah, I think he’d be on the other side of the chart.

Damn, poor little baby sure is jealous that Luigi got the entire US talking about the evils of private health insurance for weeks if not months and took down a mass-murderer.

What a little cockweasel you are.

Yeah totes wish I was getting locked up and watching the company I hated was hiring a new profit-focused CEO to continue its rollout of AI-powered claim review denying claims in record high amounts.

        Sooo jelly

Hey, man, Luigi was fighting for you too; maybe with proper dental care, for example, you could finally have those boot polish stains removed from your teeth.

Just like Luigi: impotent rage incapable of bringing about change.

I dunno, that one CEO surely didn’t think Mangione’s alleged rage was very impotent, and all the other CEOs that got scared didn’t think so, either. Unfortunately the American people let Luigi down, though

Oh shit, good one. Wow, you’re so clever I almost forgot that you’re insufferable. Come to think of it, I tagged you some months ago after reading a comment where you called Bill Gates the “best billionaire”, so maybe your opinion of Luigi would’ve improved if he’d had extramarital affairs in the company of the 21st century’s most notorious child sex trafficker.

I stand by it, but it’s certainly a low bar.

At least he was being blackmailed for cheating on his wife with adult women unlike Jeff’s clients.

Regardless even if Bill Gates had hypothetically murdered 100,000 people he would still be in the moral positive karma by millions.

                    Meanwhile Luigi did fuck all.

I sorta hear where you’re coming from but I think for most people, someone getting out there and shooting someone is a million times more ballsy and proactive than we’ll ever be. Agreed that it was misguided/naive though. I think it’s hard to know what will actually bring about the much needed change.

As opposed to people who are being thrown in prison for wearing a black shirt?

Your argument has the consistency of a sieve in reality.

No, actually, I can’t think of any successful revolutions that have? Generally, the death or incarceration of a figurehead harms the movement dramatically.

That’s not hard. Nelson Mandela, Václav Havel, José Mujica, Kim Dae-jung. I lived in Czechia under Havel and it was certainly the greatest moment in history I will ever experience. It still gives me hope for humanity.

Nelson Mandela died in 2013, though he is a good choice for being imprisoned for 27 years it is difficult to say that it in any way helped his cause since Apartheid lasted from the 1940s to 1994. He got a lot more done after being released in 1990 I tell you that much. It also didn’t hurt to have people like POTUS Bill Clinton on his side.

Havel was cool but being the first and final president of Czechoslovakia isn’t all that "revolutionary ".

Jose Mujica again a revolutionary in his youth and a normal politician in his later years.

                Kim Dae-Jung…

Do you dudes have no idea what a successful revolution is? Because it isn’t slow legislative reform. That’s kind of the crux of the issue, all of these men had the sense to do what Luigi did not: pursue peaceful political reform and increase civillian engagement in democratic politics.

MLK, Nelson Mandela, Helen of Troy, the American revolution, the IRA, the entire history of Europe, the suffragettes, stonewall, Rosa parks, countless hunger strikers in prison, conscientious objectors throughout recorded history, Malcolm x, anyone persecuted under Jim crow, Rosa Luxembourg, Nadia Rumad. Off the top of my head.

You really asked if there are people from successful political movements who have been killed, had people make an attempt on their life, or were put in prison.

MLK Jr died in 1968, long after the civil rights act was signed into law.

George Washington did not die in the Revolution, idk where you heard that.

Helena as in the daughter of Zues? Okay pal.

The “suffragettes” generally refers to the WSPU which failed and disbanded in 1914 several years before some few women were allowed to vote in 1918 due to the efforts of different groups and more broadly in 1928.

How the fuck do you claim the entire IRA died but also accomplished a successful revolution?

The entirety of Europe? You think the entirety of Europe is currently dead?!
