Location 3, position # whatever is comfortable and towards the action
On her lap.
You know why.
My favourite pondering spot is on the armrest of one of these chairs.
Surely Sheldon should be here commenting on this?
How does this inane question have 50 upvotes? And why is everyone answering it? Is this just a bunch of AIs talking to each other?
Because it’s more interesting to talk about than American politics and Linux?
The furthest away from anyone else that is also sitting there. If alone just lie flat on it.
Either end with the armrest. I like being tucked in the corner.
If it’s one of those sectionals that has the long chaise cushion, I’m taking that end and sitting on it like a bench.

You look so happy!
It’s a depiction of my inner child 😁
In the corner, it is objectively the best spot.
Awesome question, actually! My sister in law had a couch this shape (L shaped, asymmetrical). And it was oriented this way, with the TV across from the short end. I don’t think that’s quite right, but they had a narrow room. I’d put the TV facing the long side, so four people can sit. Come to think of it, that’s how my uncle did it with his.
At my sister-in-law’s place (she’s since moved, so this is going back about 20 years now!) I sat on the space between the leftmost two cushions as you look at it. That won’t be comfortable on every couch. It was on hers. The reason was, she always took the corner, but she was small and kinda nestled herself in there. My nephew would lay to the far right with his elbows up on the end. It seems to me that most little boys like to lay down in the most uncomfortable position possible, and as long as they’re tuned into what’s on TV, they’re happy to do so. My SIL’s loser boyfriend would be between them, under her legs. As for my niece, her spot was next to wherever I was, so because she was so small, I’d sit half a space from the end, and she’d wiggle into the end space.
SIL’s loser boyfriend
She wasn’t your SIL back then right
That corner spot is looking pretty sweet.
I usually sit right where that book and mug are in the picture, and I can just slide my way into the corner if I feel like.
On a cushion on the floor in the corner with the dog or cat.
Head on armrest facing window.
In the corner crook because I am worthy
On one of the edge seats. Usually on the right side, when facing the couch, because because phone charger is there and the left edge seat is overwhelmed by clutter.
Lie down, legs over armrest.
