$500 per month is enough in the cheaper parts of the world, but if you can get $1000 or $2000 then you can live a really high quality of life

Idk where your living but even the worst place here $2000 a month barely covers rent
East Africa. You can rent a pretty big and nice house with a large property in a nice area for $2000. $500 is enough for 2bed apartment in the nicest areas of the city near the beach and have an ocean view. From my understanding a lot of places around the world are similarly priced and areas like Germany and the US are more so at the peak for costs of rent.
