I mean, I would expect such reclaimed stuff to be cheaper. Or the seller to be able to set the price, which in orgs could be defined from the top (peak capitalism)
Because then it wouldn’t count as you helping with the war
I don’t play EVE. But guessing from other MMOs, for those interested in being in a group often the point is more about taking a part in the group effort than pure in-game gain
It’s been a bit since I played, but corps (the in game orgs for Eve) usually do a buy back program so players don’t handle the logistics of moving bulky items. It’s time consuming and risky for usually very low rewards.
But all players, even in an org, tend to be very market focused. Everyone is trying to acquire at the lowest price and sell at the highest.
The difference is really at the high org level. Where alliances basically have huge swathes of resources at their disposal and it’s not ships or coat which determine the outcome. It’s how many nerds can you wrangle up at one time.
I have 2 titans in the game, I would suicide ships worth more than a lot of players have in the game total just because it was fun/funny. Ship salvage just isn’t worth much to corps/alliances.
Well, maybe you know better than me. But from what I’ve heard about EVE wars those are rather “burning through ISK to rebuy the destroyed ships. The side that outgrinds the other wins”
I doubt there will be a lot of better gear to buy after 50-100hs. And AFAIK that’s nothing in EVE world.
That’s what? Around a month of 3hs everynight? “Hold my monitor…”

Why sell to an orgs defined price if it’s worse for me than the open market?
If the price is better then I will just buy shitloads of it from the open market and sell it to them without having to work for it in the first place.

The war is fighting and taking territory. If you can make more money selling somewhere else then you can buy better gear for the fights.
