Imagine how many homeless people $237 mil could help rebuild their lives.
Weird how the number of random crashes go up in war zone.
Never heard of a drone crashing in twenty years of Iraq war
Iraq was a lot of ground level arms and MANPADs don’t have the operational ceiling to reach a recon drone.
Iran has been readying themselves for American aggression since the 70s so they have a plan for drones.
Maybe it’s a sample size issue. They were a less common in the 2000s. Also Iran is a lot bigger, more populous, and technologically advanced than Iraq was at that time.
While Bush was a fuckwit, though less so than Trump, Bush actually let real military people make desicions on the frontlines instead of having his uneducated golf buddies decide.
An even bigger factor is that Iran has modern technology that can match the US.
Or simple solutions such as cheap infrared that exposes US aircraft with the $trillion “stealth” technology!
Exactly, a lot of the American doctrine is completely outdated. Stuff like drones, hypersonics, cheap IR sensors, completely change the game.
$238 million is insane. Think about how much of an impact that would have for education.
With where education is right now, that’s about a $238,000,000 budget once you fold it in.
They’ve “lost” about 20 of them since their illegal, perfidious attack on Iran. They really should be more careful.
Probably something on the ground interfered with it. Attacking sensors tends to be easier than protecting them. And the US leadership is arrogant enough to believe they’re untouchable.
