Absolutely, the Iran has no reason to allow shipments as long as the war continues, and the US has no ability to protect ships trying to run the blockade. We already saw how that played out in Suez.
On the upside this should help Russia.

So he’s gonna broker a deal at some point and say he brought the price per barrel down to the lowest it’s ever been??
Thing is I don’t see any off ramp here for the US. There’s no reason for Iran to do another ceasefire at this point. Their best play is to push the US out of the region entirely.
Perhaps the contradictions between Israel’s interest and Trump’s voter base’s would finally reach a breaking point and the US would slap Israel and ragequit the war?
At this point, they’d have to leave the whole region. I don’t see why Iran would stop when they’re winning.
because of it’s people: the iranian leaders give a fuck about its people whereas the western leader do not give a fuck about its people. things will get worse for both groups and only the iranians have leaders who care at all.
If Iran is defeated it will be a complete disaster for the people there. Just look at Libya or Syria as examples. That’s what the people are facing. This is an existential war against extermination for them.
I could see this playing out. Already, people in the admin and media are saying that we started this war to protect Israel (or because of Israel, or even dragged into war by Israel) and that seems like the first step to an off-ramp.
