Efficient movements start small scale, in the streets, by getting seen and heard and spreading your revolutionary ideas. First you grow them, then you act. If you act too soon all you’ll achieve is bodies in front of a wall with bullets in the back of their head.

In recent decades, actual successful leftist movements mostly happened in relative peace. Evo Morales overthrew the bolivian ruling class with popular support, his movement looked more like the one on the left than the one on the right. Same applies to Fronte Amplio (although it failed due to having the wrong people involved) and the Kerala communist movements. The issue is not choosing between the image on the left or on the right, it’s having liberals in either one. They’ll always betray.
