    Funnily enough:

    • Windows is my ‘utilitarian’ OS (stripped bared and neutered for 3D stuff and nothing else). It just works. As long as it stays neutered.

    • Linux is where I spend most of my time and is more optimal for basically everything other than realtime GPU rendering. But is less reliable in of itself.

    • OSX, on family Macs, is actually neat because of Metal. It can do some niche things none of my PCs can. And it can do things absolutely not possible on Asahi linux

    • …I dunno about BSD.

I love that you can have some indication how old this meme is by the fact it deadnames macOS (name switched happened almost 10 years ago)

I knew they’d dropped the moniker a while back but I had no idea it was that long ago. It’s still “OS ten” in my head.

Windows prone to crashing? Not in a long time.

Need to update this meme with something relevant.

I work in heavy industry automation. Windows is, by far, the least reliable component of our systems. Even with high grade server hardware and ECC memory, it just needs its downtime every once in a while.

I had more crashes from windows then I did Mac on my Hackintosh. Same exact hardware. One automatic update fucked itself so much, I had to do a fresh reinstall even after purging the update cache a few times.

Windows 10 doesn’t do that grayish freeze thing every time you open chrome with a 5+ years old laptop anymore?
