So, Trump and many Republicans are HAPPY about the Big Beautiful Bill. I am trying to get inside the mind of someone who voted for Trump who is happy about the bill. What exactly are they happy about?

This is a serious question. I honestly just want to know what the average Trump voter who pulls in maybe 40k a year? Why is he smiling about this bill?

Serious answers only please.

i know it’s difficult for most democrats to pay attention beyond the propaganda cloud, but try to open your eyes and see the news articles confirming that that the last administration didn’t even bother to ask or even pressure netanyahu to stop the genocide.

her administration literally didn’t even bother to secure the equal rights amendment; which would have nullified much of project 2025.

also a huge majority of project 2025 has been enacted since 1981.

Do you ever wonder why it takes a single parliamentarian or congressman to derail all Democratic state welfare initiatives like national healthcare while the Republicans steamrolled over dozens of Republicans and parliamentarians who tried to stop this most recent bill?

If you ever bother to educate yourself, you’ll come to understand that the democrats had the option of making the filibuster super majority proof when Biden was the president and Democrats controlled both houses of Congress, but chose not to even when their own bill was in jeopardy.

                  Please wake up.

Correct, Biden admin did nothing to mitigate and Harris promised nothing would change under her administration. Truth hurts.

          Literally everyone knows that.
Harm reduction was about making sure it didn’t get even worse with Trump in charge.

          And here we are.

it doesn’t take any kind of smarts to read an article from a respected news source that confirms that the last administration was not at all interested in “harm reduction” for the gazan genocide.

This isn’t about Gaza. We all know that the situation in Gaza is fucked, and the Biden administration wasn’t friendly to Gaza. I was pissed as hell at their response. But that doesn’t mean bringing fascism home to the U.S. is the solution.

No it wasn’t. That’s delusional. We’ve been slow walking toward fascism for a while, but it wasn’t just always there.

tell that the black panthers after they were bombed by the police; or the brown americans who were born and raised in the united states, but still forcibly moved to mexico during the zoot suit riots and the depression; or the queer people who were arrested, imprisoned, fined, and livelihoods ruined until they fought back at the stonewall inn; or the tuskegee airmen or the navajo that were sterilzed and had medical experiments conducted upon them without their will, simply because they weren’t american enough; or black wall street in tulsa that was literally shot and bombed at like the gazans are right now.

there are SO MANY examples of american facism that you have to be willfully ignorant of them to believe that americans aren’t fascist; either that or be your garden variety american voter.

I’m not even gonna address your points. We are all frustrated with the state of the U.S.

My point was just that the Trump administration is not better than the alternative. We can all agree on that. If you can’t or won’t admit that, then you’re part of the problem.

Those who abstained from voting and helped Trump get elected have done far more harm to the people in Gaza than those who voted Democrat. That’s the harm reduction aspect you’re missing. No one is saying the Democratic party’s stance on Gaza is good

read the articles and you’ll see that the evidence says the exact opposite: the last administration didn’t bother with harm reduction at all while the the current one actually managed to pause it for a couple a weeks and isn’t automatically caving into netanyahu’s demands

There’s a HUGE body of evidence that proves Americans are the most propagandized people on the planet and this response, willfully ignoring the facts, is both telling and indicative of this country’s future.

          🤦

A KGB spy and a CIA agent meet up in a bar for a friendly drink.

“I have to admit, I’m always so impressed by Soviet propaganda. You really know how to get people worked up,” the CIA agent says.

“Thank you,” the KGB says. “We do our best but truly, it’s nothing compared to American propaganda. Your people believe everything your state media tells them.”

The CIA agent drops his drink in shock and disgust. “Thank you friend, but you must be confused… There’s no propaganda in America.”

How do you not understand that most of us were raised under the same indoctrination and have experienced the same propaganda as everyone else here? We’re not the ones still propagandized by that upbringing, education, and media exposure. I suggest starting here to learn how to see past it.
