One of my senators (Senator Tubberville) is attempting to force his religious beliefs onto the military. Specifically he seems to have a problem with the military supporting family planning. To do that he has been holding up confirmations of military officers. As a result of his actions, we have lost out on a new military base, our nation’s national security has been put at risk and he has made Alabama an even bigger laughingstock than it already was.

As you may have guessed, I am not a fan of his.

If it was just national senators I’d agree, but legislators is an awfully broad field.

Not just religious beliefs but also Tuberville’s defense of white supremacy, this isn’t just about service members access to abortions, it’s also about how the Biden administration and the military leadership want to purge our armed forces of white supremacists and Nazis, and the US armed forces have needed that purge for a long time now.

The military is not leaderless, wtf are you saying? If you read the article, you would see there’s simply no Senate backed Chief of Staff nomination, those positions are occupied by generals long detached from ground-level tactical maneuver and decision making and are primaily responsible for policy making.

The U.S. military could still operate with literally the entire Executive Branch nuked into ash, and fight three separate fronts simultaneously across the globe within 72 hours. Not saying they would win any of those three fronts, simply that they can do it without the Joint Chiefs of Staff.
