Eh, it’s just exchanging what brain cells are used to remember what.
With Fahrenheit you need brain cells to remember that 32°F is freezing point of water. With Celsius, you need brain cells to remember that 40°C+ is super hot outside.
Preferably don’t. But if you had to, perhaps a 3d version using unreal but with the style of the box art.
I don’t know of any fiber that the core is 125 microns. Can you link to one? Neither Single Mode nor Multi Mode fiber is that large.
Sure, but the glass core is only 8–9 µm wide, it’s a minuscule amount of glass compared to copper cables so it’s not really worth it to melt it down.

I can say with full confidence this is something you’ll never actually need to worry about. Law enforcement isn’t just going to grab laptops and pull keys. Plus, it’s easier for them to grab the laptop while it’s logged in anyways. 😐
Bro… It’s password mangers all the way down…
I can help with that, if you like tips fedora /s
No, there are no fees at all. Authentic just means approved device state, which will be defined by the website you go to I believe. So youtube might required many different things in order to be “authentic” like no ad blockers, genuine browser, non-rooted phone, etc., whereas bank-xyz may just check for one thing, like a genuine browser. Also, websites have to enable this on their side, so its not going to be used by default on all websites. The whole thing is crap though, even if only a few websites enable this, it could have huge impacts.
It’s not necessary accurate to say timeshift is filing the drive. All timeshift is doing is the taking and management of snapshots. You could only have timeshift configured to keep 4 hourly snapshots, which wouldn’t reasonably fill a drive. Now if you 6 monthlys configured, sure you could fill up drive no problem since it will take at least 6 months before deleted data is removed.
Really? According to this site they claim that “The Cyber Resilience Act should only apply to free open-source software that is developed or supplied in the course of commercial activity.” While that could be a broad scope, I don’t think it applies to most FOSS. Linux is really the big thing I see it applying to and Linux is very Cyber secure, so I don’t really see issues there.
Are there other parts of the law that ban FOSS? Or is that site too pro EU and glosses over the bad parts?
Still rocking Slackware today via Unraid! 😎
Maybe Slice & Dice will fit your bill?
Have you played FTL? That might tickle your fancy.
Well, Warcraft 3 Reforged isn’t actually as bad as I thought it would be. I thought it was going to be this awful crap experience, but I really haven’t seen that (okay yes, it has crashed on me once). I picked it up a few days ago and it’s been one helluva nostalgic power run. XD I think they actually did a fairly good job of just upgrading the graphics but still keep the style the same, even though I wasn’t a huge fan of the overly comic styling of War3. I haven’t done custom maps nor campaigns yet, I know people complained about the campaigns not working. I really only played the Founding of Durotar when I was young.
IDK, it really isn’t as bad as I thought. I heard that a new-ish team is running now, so maybe it will get better. I would like to get a custom game browser built into the game, similar to what Star craft 2 does.
It’s been fun double timing War3 and D4 the last few days. :)
It would be awesome if Boost could be re-written to work with Lemmy, but I have doubts that would happen. This is probably a good time for new people to have their work shine though, I’m excited to see new apps made for Lemmy.
