Oh, hey, I love your comics! I wonder which edition it was: 1e, Burned Over, or 2e?
we get a little silly
Wait, wasn’t Burned Over a toned down version of 1e, with 2e being later?
I heard DW is getting a second edition. Now that I think about it, I don’t think post-apocalyptic TTRPGs are very popular in general.
I did actually work on a PbtA magical girl game at one point (with a Cthulhu Mythos setting, but still), though I later ended up scrapping it.
… I mean, that is one of the themes of VtM.
Try Cities Without Number! It’s also an OSR game, and is more well-suited for the Sixth World setting.
GbM is Forged in the Dark, but I get your point.
I’m pretty sure Critical Role has also done some Monsterhearts stuff, which is also indie. I don’t personally like that game for a myriad of reasons, but I do believe Mercer ran it one or two times.
I’ve literally never heard anyone blindly hate D&D on Tumblr. There are a lot of complaints, for sure, but the biggest blogs there post about how D&D is fundamentally a game about dungeons and not meant for other things, and most of them celebrate the system when used right.
Not ending well in either interpretation of that sentence.
yandev is that you
The lore of the TTRPG Lancer has a concept known as a Non-Human Person, or NHP, which it uses to describe its advanced AIs. As the image implies, NHPs are eldritch beings.
The HORUS Manticore is a Frame in the TTRPG Lancer that focuses around electronic attacks, and it possesses a special self-destruct state known as “Castigation”, which causes a reactor meltdown when the mech is destroyed (the pilot cannot escape this, so it will eliminate everything within its range). The name for the ability that activates this state is “CASTIGATE THE ENEMIES OF THE GODHEAD”.
