Your metaphor of multiple instances = multiple “Reddits” is exactly how I think of it as a layperson!

A few other people use the email metaphor, but I found it not as digestible since email is not a forum.

You did an amazing job! And extra awesome to not only upcycle, but also give back to tour community.

I’m really enjoying the interface! I browse mobile on Chrome. I hope to see lots of people stick around and build some great communities.

Pleasantly surprised that most people are friendly, polite, and positive here - you never know what to expect when you make the switch.

I’m not very tech-savvy so it took a little bit to find my instance, but now it’s been smooth sailing.

A little sad, but I am not as attached to specific communities online. I’ve seen subreddits rise and fall too, so this just feels like another chance to find something new.

Commenting as that was one of my favourite subreddits and would love to join a similar community on Lemmy!
