Medicare for all and legal pot both have had an around 70% approval rate for about a decade now. The government simply doesnt care because those things do not make the right people rich. Studies have shown the US gov doesn’t respond to its voters, it responds to its financiers. It honest to god never mattered what we thought.

Food pantries and soup kitckens have been feeding the hungry for more than 40 years and yet none of those places brought about political revolution. This is why theory is not negligible. If you wanna simply help the poor then a soup kitchen is fine, if you want a revolution you’re going to need more than that.

imo this is what happens when you politicize the gun ownership issue across the aisle. The majoirty of people with guns support the current president. Ownership growth amongst liberals, POC, LGBTQ is rising faster than any other demographic though. This is important because one man with a gun is a mass shooter lone wolf terrorist who will never get talked about again after one media cycle, but an armed group showing up to protests and mutual aid becomes something like the BPP. You need organization and training as much as you need guns and the people actually willing to do the work are just starting to arm themselves.

If you don’t think you can do away with billboards I don’t see how you’d think you could get people to stop using cars. Especially with how many things get delievered door to door these days. You could put every commuter on trains and the roads would still have traffic. I don’t see changing that being any easier than getting rid of billboards and other highly intrusive ads.
All ads are non consensual and designed to get your attention. So we put them in places like on giant boards along highways. Very cool, very safe.
