It’s not perfect, but much better than going to Shitter. Some people apparently find Mastodon obscure or confusing and switched to Bluesky instead. Supposedly it’s more friendly towards new users. I don’t know how Lemmy deals with Mastodon links, but they work on here on Kbin/Mbin and should also work when viewing the post on Mastodon/Firefish/Sharkey directly
