Seriously, that is an opinion yet you write it as a general truth. Please don’t do that. There are tables that enjoy the role-playing aspect more, including “my character wouldn’t know that”. I would know, I’m part of one table like that.
It’s not as clear cut as this, a lot of the studies that suggest this don’t stand up to scrutiny, with for example some having numbers of estimated birds killed by cats over the total estimated bird population. Also the fact that the majority of kills by cats are already weak or sick animals, animals that would die soon either way, and not really affect the total population. The only ones that seem legit and suggest an effect on the population are from small islands.

No. There’s nothing to argue there, it’s the definition of OCR.
Also, do you believe that LLMs found a new, novel way of doing OCR? That’s not how they work, LLMs don’t invent, they don’t innovate, they’re simply unable to do that. What they do, when they work correctly, is that they use already known and established techniques and tools. So to quote your top comment in this chain:

To add to your point, it used to be that the village idiot was just that, known for it, and shamed or shunned. Now that they can connect to other village idiots, they can find a community of like minded idiots that reinforces their beliefs.
I’ll be the first to admit that I fell for his (initially) near perfect PR that crafted the industry genius image he’s still coasting on to this day. Of course that took a nosedive when he started calling a rescuer “pedo” for pointing out the stupidity of his rescue submarine idea. But it wasn’t until he started talking about IT that I finally started to understand he wasn’t an average CEO manipulating public opinion to his advantage, but an absolute moron who actually never had any idea of what he was talking about. Yes the dude is that stupid, but good PR is actually hard to completely take down.
