Don’t ask me why but I feel like Mahler’s 9th symphony 4th movement should be playing in the background, the whole thing has “closing the curtain” sense to it.

Exactly, which is why I was able to run it reasonably smooth, although it was sluggish at a times probably due to the fact you just mentioned.
Cities Skylines is often the perfect game for me to just zone out and chill, it surely didn’t run on a smooth 60 fps for me on my i7 laptop with no gpu but it performed well enough for me.
I just like to spend a couple of hours laying new railroads and streets and just expanding my city, be aware though the game can be a timesink if you’re not careful.

I’ve started getting into metal gear recently so at the moment I’m playing MGSV:TPP and MGS1.
I’ve made a bad habit of attaching the word “reddit” to the end of too many of my searches even for questions that I should be looking for their answers in trusted sources instead of taking answers from random redditors the blackout has helped a little with avoiding that.
