  • Here’s the thing: Yes, there are lots of people doing amateur and uploading to pornhub, and there are even some people doing higher quality stuff on free sites. And there are full videos pirated from pay sites.

If all you want is to slob your meat to whatever is available, or if you just have very generic desires, more power to you. Personally, I have specific tastes and buying a year-long membership to Kink.com for $120 a year on Black Friday every year does not put a dent in my finances, but it does get me access to thousands of extremely high quality videos with great production quality that cater to my specific desires and are freely downloadable for me to save in Stash.

I feel that is completely reasonable to either pay for porn or not pay for porn based on a number of factors. What I don’t understand is the willful ignorance of why someone might choose to pay for porn.

The other thing that I can’t get behind is your insistence throughout this thread that people paying for porn isn’t what supports your ability to get free porn. It is, there are just no two ways about it. If people weren’t willing to pay money for porn, there would be a lot less of it and it would be way less accessible. Most people posting content on PH are doing it to advertise their OF profiles and if everyone who visited PH had an adblocker on, there would be no way for them to pay the massive hosting costs that come with being a streaming video provider of that size. By and large, porn exists because people will pay money for it, and your ability to access massive quantities of it is 100% funded by people who “pay” via ad impressions.

  • Yes, you are correct on broad terms. Life has no objective meaning. It has a lot of subjective meaning, though.

You loved your cat and your cat loved you. You wouldn’t be upset about this if those two things weren’t true. Does that matter in the grand scheme of things? No, but it matters to you and it mattered to your cat.

I understand where you’re coming from. I have lived in despair after friends, family, and pets have “moved on”. It never gets easier, and I am tearing up thinking about the many moments like this that I have experienced, and the many more that I will experience.

It’s probably very hard to hear right now, but you should soldier through this. You don’t have to, but there are a lot of relationships that you will experience that you don’t even know about yet. There are people and pets that you haven’t met yet or that haven’t even been born yet who you will have an impact on, and who will have an impact on you.

And though this kind of loss is not something that a human can ever really leave behind, one day you will understand it, and you’ll leave a comment like this one. And you’ll know that every relationship we have is valuable (in one way or another) and worth sticking around to experience.

Life is meaningless, but only on a grand scale. The pain you’re feeling now only tells you that life is worth experiencing, even if it doesn’t really mean anything in the end.

RIP to your cat. You probably won’t ever really, “get over” the loss, but this relationship has helped you understand how to love.

  • My previous landlord was amazing. Dealt with every issue that arose in a timely fashion, never raised my rent (which was already very fair based on the location), and even installed central AC after my first kid was born since the house was old and could get pretty hot in the summers.

And she wasn’t the only good landlord I’ve had.

Sorry your experience has been bad with renting, and I agree that most landlords are terrible (I’ve had plenty of those as well), but just because you haven’t ever had a good landlord doesn’t mean they don’t exist.
