Sizing the partitions is a step you (can) take when formatting the drive… And from what I can tell the Envy has an M2 nvme in it, and it just seems crazy to me to basically just ignore that to boot off of an SD card/USB drive…

Just use Rufus, dude… You can even set the amount of space your image/deployment/instance (whatever the most correct term is lol) persists in, which makes it more convenient if (like me) you find yourself frequently wanting to play around with new and exciting distros.
Also, not to gang up on ya or anything either, but I’m gonna have to second the other commentor’s request for the info on that laptop, as I’ve never encountered one that prevented you from reformatting it… o_0 I would be returning the fuck out of that garbage… Even the non-ARM old chromebooks would let you do that.

If it’s any consolation, it appears I may’ve spoken too soon about the timeouts having gone away… They’re sporadic as hell
I’m still feeling my way around and have subbed to a community or two here and there, but (using Jerboa on Android) so far it’s actually not that different from using rif (for me, anyway.)
The only real issue that I’ve encountered so far is I kept getting timeout errors whenever I tried to comment (though the comments seem to have posted anyway) or when I clicked into a comment thread, but those seem to have subsided for the most part…
Dude… I spent over ELEVEN FUCKING YEARS of my life visiting that site almost daily - just about always through rif. I’m a little beside myself, if we’re being perfectly honest. (Which kinda feels dumb to say about something like reddit, but… There it is.) I mean, I realized last night that I was having to re-learn how to find news on the internet. Which was weird.
