It’s possible I saw it but just forgot, with the number of games currently on my radar. Hearing about it again has reignited my interest though! Will keep an eye on it
First I’ve heard of this game. Looks interesting & the art style is neat!
Wait I’m confused… You’re asking for a fan-made mod to be added to the Switch version of Stardew? 🤔
I like the sound of this! The Starfield coffee article was funny. $7 a month miiiight be a little bit much for me - but I’ll keep an eye on this and if the journalism is decent and they put out a fair number of articles I’ll definitely consider it. I guess I used to spend around that amount on gaming magazines…
Oh awesome, most of these were on my wishlist. The backlog grows yay!
I finished TOTK yesterday! What a great game. How do you think it compares to BOTW? At some points while playing it I felt like it didn’t have the same magic as BOTW (but that’s nothing wrong with the game itself, it’s just that BOTW was such a unique experience the first time I played it). But having finished TOTK, I can really appreciate how much they changed. The sky islands, depths and all the new ultrahand mechanics are perfect additions to the formula.
There aren’t many games that can release such a stunning trailer, and then live up to that hype.
I felt like a couple of the dungeons were a bit average - the Gerudo one in particular. The Divine Beasts were a lot more memorable in my opinion. Then again, each of TOTKs dungeons felt very distinct which was nice.
Overall though, easily one of the best games on Switch and I’d probably rank it on par with BOTW.
Weirdly enough, I’ve heard the opposite - that the first game is way better than the second 🤔
I’m not sure that’s the message we really should be sending though. We shouldn’t encourage huge studios to get away with this kinda laziness. I agree that they’re some of the best games ever made, which is why I think Konami should treat the IP with a bit more respect
I understand, but I’m not sure I could justify spending even $45 on this. If they’d put a bit more effort into it sure, but this is purely a cash grab.
They were very good ports for the PS3 and 360. But Konami have just taken that and popped them on the marketplace without much in the way of work to make them suitable for PC players. Sure, it’s great to finally have them available on PC, but if you’re gonna put such little work in, the price they’re asking isn’t justified.
Yes I’m sure Valve will get Proton working, but regardless of the current Linux compatibility, these are lazy ports by Konami and they don’t justify the price tag.
Damn, I really want a decent way to play 2&3 on Deck. Given the lazy ports, I’m tempted to wait for some updates to fix things and then find alternative methods of obtaining these.
Opus Magnum is really great if you haven’t played it before :)
I think that’s the bug they put in Neo in the first Matrix film
Whoa, some amazing paint jobs! The detail is insane
Yeah, they changed too much unnecessarily whilst keeping the rest of the game identical. The addition of first person shooting really broke it in some ways because the original game wasn’t designed that way. I think they’d need to redesign it from the ground up to make the more modern mechanics work properly. Something like RE2 Remake.
Thanks for this perspective. I wonder if a lot of this isn’t so much an issue with attention span, but more a reluctance to put the work in?
That said, it does sound like it’s the environment itself that’s causing it. If the schools are encouraging ‘brain breaks’, I assume there’s good reason behind it? Does that improve learning/retention?
Yes the karma system here is way better! It definitely reduces the hive mind mentality.
I don’t think we need any kind of algorithm though. That would only serve to make the popular stuff more popular and the niche stuff gets buried. Maybe if I could personally filter out communities that I’m not interested in?
