I’m concerned about the pollution and noise issue. They seem to disrupt the local ecosystem as well as people living around them terribly.

I got super confused for a second because I thought this was straight up GOG and thought it was because of that Nazi email that got sent out the other day lol

I think the key part is the copy part at the end there.
For example: a bunch of 3DS games are dying due to age. So physical media can br lost just like digital.
If im recalling correctly, it’s due to the quality of cartridges and how the games were stored on the carts(?). In which case getting a copy online is your next best bet. I feel like this whole rental system is the same deal. If they remove the ability to access the products you paid for, then you’re perfectly fine to go grab a copy from somewhere.
The biggest reason to buy physical in my eyes is that having physical and digital versions of something acts as a failsafe for everyone when it comes to media specifically

Bomb Rush Cyberfunk
goat simulator, goat simulator 3 (great for couch co-op),
at dead of night
Pools (liminal space walking sim),
crow country,
easy delivery co,
parking garage rally circuit
I started my job just a few years prior to this AI boom. With a shitty company and now AI on top, I’m really trying to think of other jobs I would be okay at/with doing.

Thank you for this. I’ve been meaning to try ps1/2 and GCN for a while now
Ahh good point. That’s frustrating and something I always forget. The numerous updates and adjustments required for games is annoying. There’s certainly something to be said about the days when games were thoroughly play tested and then released in a mostly solid state
So physical purchases only then. Understood

Singapores legal system doesn’t mess around either. Dang

I hate LinkedIn. Feels so scammy and fake.

Somewhere in between the bottom two.

I think the main thing that annoys me is trying to pick apart if something is Ai or not.
LOL, people unsubscribing is working. I’m shocked it took them this long to react to this, though. The pricing is ridiculous. They would have to slash it in half or more to gain back the number of people lost. Additionally, they keep adding and removing the same games? The value proposition seems low if you have already played the existing catalog.
It seems funny to me that they put all their eggs in one basket (gamepass) and then decided to light the basket on fire and smash it with a hammer(increase the price and put the head of AI in charge of the xbox. Have radio silence on what’s next for xbox for an entire generation of your console while it’s rumored that your next console is your last).

If steam ever shut down people would riot lol
It never occurred to me that dinosaurs would have to deal with tornados. Huh…weird
Oh shit I would consider getting this game now. I know the voices were done with text to speech tools and not the same as AI voice stuff, but I think it’s better to keep the artistry in games and not remove that element if possible.
Ooooh come on come on…if they’re gona kill off the Xbox at least let me play my library on pc. Would be the best outcome of this crappy situation

Thanks! I had no idea you could connect that controller to a PC thats really cool. My PC should be able to handle it find so I’ll have to check it out!
I still remember the day that one coder decided to try and fix Dolphin and managed to make it going from rough to amazing in what seemed like it was overnight
I’ve never had this. Where does one find a job like that today lol. I want to say the majority of people actively do not have this unless they are in a situation where they have been able to live more frugally. Inflation and greedflation have made any pay increases I’ve received in the past decade basically non existent.
That being said I’m basically supporting a family of 4 on a salary of 1.5 people.
