You are focusing way to much on the fact that “oh well the rest isn’t too bad, it’s just one bad part.” and you don’t seem to understand the issues with the bad part.
It doesn’t matter if the rest is inoffensive. None of it was offensive before. You think they’re going to start with this one change? Do you really not see how this is just their foot in the door? They’re rubbing their hands together salivating over people like you because you’re the stepping stone they’re looking for to gain leverage for future changes. You’re the hot water they want to use to slowly boil all the frogs in the pot.
And the slaves DID NOT BENEFIT FROM SLAVERY. Even the implication is disgusting. I don’t understand how anyone could honestly believe that. Think about it, for one goddamn moment. They did not learn these skills BECAUSE of slavery. Did white people need to be slaves to learn the same skills? Obviously not. Imagine how many black people could have learned and applied these skills, like blacksmithing and so on, if they’d been given the freedom to CHOOSE to do so on their own terms for their OWN sake, not for the sake of the people with bloody whips in their hands. My god dude, actually think about what the fuck you’re saying.

Bro the “blacks benefitted from slavery” thing is literally being made into the new standard for teaching in Florida by the board of education, something that was made possible by Desantis’s stupid “stop woke act”, you know, actual policy and legislation. This clearly isn’t just a meme to conservatives, and it’s not a strawman if it’s based on real things people are saying and teaching and putting into law. Idk about the holocaust thing since I haven’t heard about whatever that’s referencing yet, but the “black people benefiting from slavery thing” is very much a real issue born from actual policies, and not just a meme.
3·1 year agoI considered that at first but there are a lot of long title series that don’t fall under the isekai umbrella, while the isekais that fall under the shounen umbrella tend to still have the shorter titles.
It just so happens that most isekai fall under the shoujo/ecchi/comedy umbrella, hence the large amount of overlap. So while there’s definitely an association, I wouldn’t necessarily consider it an isekai thing specifically.

Those are two different genres. Most shounen series still have simpler titles. Jujutsu Kaisen, Demon Slayer, Black Clover, Chainsaw Man, My Hero Academia, Promised Neverland, etc. Ones with long titles tend to be comedy, shoujo, or ecchi.
They raised the price by 1 whole dollar after however many years and y’all are acting like it’s the tech apocalypse. This is hardly on the same scale as what Netflix is doing.
I see, I didn’t know that was a thing. I hope you manage to get into a better situation if that’s the case.

Bro, I don’t know how you missed this, but your church is the minority among Christians. I come from a large Christian family so I’m not saying that as someone who hates Christians, I’m saying that as someone with two eyes and common sense. And I’m also someone who is not straight so I’m also speaking from experience myself. Christians who ignore these issues within their community are only enabling them. I get that you feel defensive about your religion because it’s a part of who you are so an attack on it feels like an attack on you, but if you really care about it then you should be motivated to work on improving it so it can live up to your love for it, instead of getting mad at people for being rightfully unhappy about a group that has a long, long history of abusing lgbt people, and which hasn’t exactly done a lot in recent years to improve their reputation.
Just let it sit for a little while until the hot parts warm the cold parts.

That’s really not an option for me right now financially since I need to keep costs down as much as possible. But I’ll keep that in mind for the future.
What’s a good Gmail alternative that has a relatively professional name? I have a hotmail account from way back still, but the name “hotmail.com” has always sounded silly to me. I guess there’s Outlook but idk if they’re the best option.
So many suggestions here are so needlessly complicated. Just put some tape on the end of a thin stick 🤦
