I can’t answer all question, but from my dual-booting experience (Win10, Mint) you don’t want to open data on one system drive through the other system. In my machine I had Drive A (Win10), Drive B (Mint) and Drive C (to dump data on) When booting up Windows, it frequently told me to wait while it repaired Drive C. I suppose linux and windows leave different traces on drives they use, causing Windows to think there is something worth repairing on the drive. Linux had no issues with it, I think. But most importantly I didn’t lose any data.

I don’t think kernel level anticheat should mess with your boot options, at least it didn’t for me.

Unless proven otherwise I choose to believe that it was the same as with the penguin in the Werner Herzog documentary and the bird quickly returned to their flock moments later. (Herzog didn’t show that though because a penguin heading towards death is more dramatic)

Buy it on steam and refund it several times. I believe Steam takes a 20% cut of every purchase, yet developers pay 100% of the refund. In Germany Subnautica costs 30€ - 20% are 6€. Buy and refund the game 5 times and the devs will lose 30 bucks on you. You won’t support them, but own a legal copy >:D
