Jesus Christ. Was there a shortage at the template factory or what?
If we gave them land, they’d use it to wage war and try to take the rest. There can be no defederated states, you’re in or you’re out. If they want out, they can find a new land to call home.
Practically nobody does uber as their main job, they do it because they either want/need extra money, or are struggling to survive at all. I know uberers, none of them would choose the job, but they can’t find other work. There’s an intentional lack of employment, in my country at least, to keep the workers moving forward; “Do for us, or end up like those people”.
Yeah. If my kid is a terrorist, they shouldn’t go to prison, that’s just the government trying to dictate what you can and can’t do. If a kid wants to skip school and torture stray animals, that’s just the way it is. Damn the government; always trying to get involved and “help” my “severely deranged” child. Society deserved all the things my son did to the public soda fountain.
What about that guy who got one over on the u.s. Treasury and walked with millions in gold coins? Or D.B. Cooper?
You don’t have to participate in voting either, but that doesn’t stop about a million power-hungry jackasses from clogging up my snail mail box come each November.
So technically a direct loss, but definitely not a direct loss after tax breaks, and accounting for warehouse space freeing up in many cases. The warehouse space is worth more than the product past a certain age in most businesses.
If you let them know their bullying is getting to you, they’ll only continue and increase their torment. You might need to grow a thick skin to get through living with them, but try not to let that harden you to the world too much in the process. They may be physically stronger than you, but that shouldn’t stop you from becoming your best self. Not for them; but for yourself.
Yes, but we refer to it as 14 a day, because 13 is bad luck.
I mean, they do though? I’m totally against that, but hear me out: if we infiltrated for instance, and tried to do the opposite approach of only screwing the shareholders while providing maximum value to workers and consumers, we wouldn’t last long enough to bring it to a vote at the corrupted board. If you don’t provide a solid plan on how you’re gonna fuck consumers in the coming quarter, they won’t even let you stay on as CEO. It’s literally not possible to do good in this system, you can either not participate and keep getting fucked as consumers/workers, or you can trade class and provide value for shareholders, there is no in between anymore. The only option that will change this without another Teddy, is revolution. Hopefully a peaceful one.
’Seems an appropriate time to remind everybody here that doctors skew conservative politically, this is especially true for surgeons, for what reasons I do not know. This isn’t my opinion, I read some articles referring to a study about it, and want to share. Feel free to roast me below if I got this wrong.
It varies. My Target is exactly the same as it ever was.
It’s pretty simple actually. Big companies took billions upon billions of dollars in federal subsidies and grants handed out to them via taxation of the public, then when they got just about done building the thing they spent all our money on, they erected a nice shiny gate at the front and charged us admission. But not before bribing donating to criminals politicians to ensure zero competition or risk to their non-investment. It’s rampant capitalism defined.
Because material conditions are consistently hovering juuust above revolt levels. If we want a massive sweeping change, shit will get worse first. People will demand change, but I believe a large portion of society will have to be starving and on the streets before we consider movement that actually does anything to change the status quo, due to the risk of death.
This is like when someone says “not all men” when someone’s discussing women’s issues with certain men, or saying “all lives matter” when discussing racism faced by black people in America… Yeah, we know there are good cities, this bad city that’s being discussed also happens to be American, and emblematic of the overall problems with American society. And as an American, I’m deeply concerned with the idea we should allow any city, no matter how small, to practice in discrimination. Definitely worth more than a brush-off.
Kind of like when George Carlin said ‘if you want better politicians; make better people.’
‘Friends’ was one of the biggest tv series in nearly every country, it’s not just good ol’ American hubris, nor unimportant news to people throughout the world who enjoyed his work. Artists who are known around the world make headlines all the time, no less when they die, obviously. I certainly doubt anyone would read of Patrick Stewart dying, only to rush to the comments to say how irrelevant this British actor’s passing was.
I think they supplied the lunar wainshaft on my turbo encabulator.
The dude who repairs clothes must be pissed.
