Ah yes, the escort service.
That’s not what you said though. You said there is no successful second app store and that’s demonstrably untrue. Just because it isn’t widely used doesn’t mean it can’t be.
F-Droid?
I could change all the units to potatoes and wombats and my point would still be valid. You are being intentionally obtuse to avoid admitting you’re wrong.
OK and? A difference of just 2 psi means that a bowl with diameter 4 in. (complete guess) is being held in place with ((4*π)=12.56*2)= 25 lbs of force distributed evenly across the surface of the plate.
A bigger bowl or greater suction changes these numbers dramatically. 2 psi on a 6 in. bowl is held in place with 37 lbs of force. 4 psi on a 6 in. bowl is held in place with 75 lbs of force.
Sure its “limited” in that there can only be a 14.7 pressure difference, but that doesn’t mean anything in terms of “this is really hard to undo”.
And if there’s oil or food or something sealing the gap between bowl and plate preventing the pressure from equalizing… fugheddaboudit.
I really liked the client but HTML emails are a real pain in the ass.
Very nice! I really like the direction Gnome is headed in.
I have a server with a RAID-1 array, that makes daily, weekly, and monthly read only btrfs snapshots. The whole thing (sans snapshots) is sync’d with syncthing to two rPi’s in two different geographic locations.
I know neither raid nor syncthing are “real” backup solutions, but with so many copies of the files living in so many locations (in addition to my phone, laptop, etc.) I’m reasonably confident its a decent solution.
So don’t do that if that’s important to you. I don’t. Besides, home assistant has its own local voice commands if you want them.
Honest question, do you use Home Assistant?
You must be here from c/all. Home Assistant is a self-hosted application and stores all of its data locally on hardware you own and control. If there’s data mining, its because you put it there yourself.
D’oh!
It is a text editor from the 50s or 60s, so right off the nat you aren’t getting a product you’re at all familiar with. Its been a while since I cracked it open but from memory you can only view one line of code at a time. You have to specify the line of code that you want to view, the commands are esoteric, and there is no help available in the application itself. As I recall it was pretty much immediately replaced with better editors, such as og vi.
Its sort of like programming in sed
. Sure, you can, but why?
From Wikipedia:
Known for its terseness, ed, compatible with teletype terminals like Teletype Model 33, gives almost no visual feedback, and has been called (by Peter H. Salus) “the most user-hostile editor ever created”, even when compared to the contemporary (and notoriously complex) TECO. For example, the message that ed will produce in case of error, and when it wants to make sure the user wishes to quit without saving, is “?”. It does not report the current filename or line number, or even display the results of a change to the text, unless requested. Older versions (c. 1981) did not even ask for confirmation when a quit command was issued without the user saving changes.
Ed is the most user unfriendly text editor ever created.
I think this is a really interesting read on the matter: https://www.mit.edu/people/dpolicar/writing/prose/text/godTaoist.html
Christianity has gone completely off the rails and isn’t the answer, but that doesn’t necessarily mean there isn’t a god.
Maybe god itself doesn’t have free will and is only acting according to a proscribed set of fundamental laws.
Fourth person pronouns.
Chat is that weird?
