  • I fear you missunderstood me: I think systemd with all the integrated features and tools is great, having all the features and tools is such a huge benefit for a professionell sysadmin who has to connect to and administrate lots of customer server every day.

But that is my opinion, I fully accept that people don’t like systemd and that’s the great thing with Linux: If you don’t like a component then you are free to drop it and use something else. So have fun with your systemd free systems!

  • The landlord has valid rights too, fighting policeman is definitively the wrong solution to this problem. The proper way would be in implementing a wellfare system that helps this (mostly old/sick) people when they can’t pay their bills. Fighting policemen for evicted people would be like only putting a bandaid over a punctured arthery. It may help for a, very short, time but in the end leads to nowhere.

But this is a tangent and topic that is very interessting to discuss but i fear is way to offtopic for this place

  • as far as I read the law, but i am neither a lawyer or even american, are those Option only needed for Systems with users and a user, as defined by the same law, is

    (i) “User” means a child that is the primary user of the device.

The law says nothing about Systems that don’t have such a “user”, or at least i could not find anything.

So, there could be a valid argument that the law does differentiate.
