  • I don’t care about politics in my games (and shows/movies) as long as it fits into the world and into the story. A TV show examples for that is Torchwood. It has to be the most gay scify show (at least it is the most gay I know) but all of it fits together and I love the show, even as a totaly hetero/cis guy. It doesn’t feel forced but is just how everything just it. Not sure if I can explain it good, hope it is somewhat to understand.

  • All I am saying is that his so ultra specific hardware works flawless under X11 and that a new solution that plans to replace the old one should support at least the same displays, that should be the MVP - don’t be worse then the old cruft.

And I still don’t see where the 8 years old article would say anything otherwise, at least nothing that was not replaced by info from the more recent article. And yes, he has linked his old article in the new one but that doesn’t mean that every single sentence in it is still fully valid after all those years.

  • Not sure what you mean but:

With the nVidia driver now working per se with Wayland, unfortunately that’s still not good enough to use Wayland in my setup: my Dell UP3218K monitor requires two DisplayPort 1.4 connections with MST (Multi Stream Transport) and TILE support. This combination worked just fine under X11 for the last 8+ years.

As he said, it worked in X11 but not in Wayland.

That is the issue and the source of my confusion. The god in question did not change the gender, it just created avatars. Those are sometimes created in a male form and sometimes in a female. But the god itself never changed gender (as far as I could find in the lore). Avatars are, as far as I know, entities that can be infused and controlled by the will of the god but it is not the god itself. Just like a human that controls a character in a video game, those characters are the avatars of the player but not the player himself.

  • I don’t assume a mortal gender for any god, neither in real religions nor in fictional ones, I can’t even see how a concept like gender (or sex) even would be possible at all with a formless/shapeless entity like a god. The entity would be beyond and above our puny mortal classifications and limitations of our bodys. It would be like asking what gender water has and then saying that water is trans or genderfluid because ice sculptures in male and female form exist.

For me the sex and/or gender of an god is: god

But maybe my main issue is that overanalize it, I often have that problem unfortunately. I hope that I have not said anything bad or hurt/angered anyone. If it happend then only because of my limited knowledge not out of ill intend.

I used the male form because that’s what is used in official texts in this case, so no assumption from my side.

    Thank you

  • Correlon is a god who uses avatars of both Sex and/or Gender. I don’t see how that makes him trans in any way, because his avatars are not much more as if a player creates a character with a different Sex and/or Gender for his interaction in the gameworld. That doesn’t makes the player trans. So how does it make Correlon trans?

Have I missed anything in the lore? Please don’t missunderstand me, I don’t want to speak against trans or want to be seen as anti-trans in any way. I literally really don’t understand this part and just ask for information or clarification.
