They’re solid generic blockbuster action-ish movies. They’re not amazing, but they’re fun enough that I think they’re worth a watch if you can’t decide what to watch one night.
I have a math degree and still can’t do basic addition
Anti-tankie leftist

I know it’s kinda cheating to bring them up in this context, but the Swiss manage to run trains to very small towns just fine
I think survivorship bias plays into it as well. Yeah, most the stuff on the radio today is kinda meh. Most the stuff on the radio in those days was kinda meh too. All the meh songs got forgotten, and you only remember the bangers. You’ve already seen it happen to 00s music and we’re watching it happen with the 10s.
But yeah, it’s wild how many people look at how accessible different types of music are now and just… don’t go looking.
In a pretty short span of time no less.
I’ve definitely had 16 drinks in a day before, just spread out over, yknow, most that day.
It being ugly has absolutely fuckall to do with the structural integrity
That smile ad is still one the weirdest campaign ads I’ve ever seen
But then I don’t get to justify my 3d printer purchase with custom enclosures with their jobs engraved on them
The issue with the combination of rabbit holes I’m going down is all the damn pis Im gonna end up being lol
Funnily enough, taking my glasses off in a dream and still being able to see is how I’ve realized I was I a dream a couple times. Unfortunately I immediately get way too excited at the prospect and immediately wake up every time haha
I was referring to the usage of masks
I make use of that trick a lot, unfortunately it wasn’t a ton of help this time.
Or, y’know, literal decades (centuries?) by medical professionals
No, I frankly don’t have the slightest clue how I did it.
I apparently threw my glasses across the room in my sleep last night. Spent a solid 5 minutes going full on Velma mode looking for them.
Portal and Portal 2 are my go to tests for if a machine qualifies as “an computer”. Basically, if it can run those, it’s probably good enough to be grandmas facebook machine. Might have to toss an ssd into it (exactly what I did with an old core2duo hp pavilion), but generally I find it to be a good rule of thumb.
Plus it gives me an excuse to play Portal when I test a machine :P
Surprised no one has said it, but Minecraft. I love it as much now as I did when I was 12. It can be as simple or as complex as you want it, especially if you start playing with mods. Then there’s servers such as Hypixel which for all intents and purposes are an entirely separate game in and of themselves.
I’m sure part of it is nostalgia, some of my fondest gaming memories were playing Minecraft with friends, but I still find it to be an excellent way to relax.
(Tangentially related, anyone else remember when waiting 3 months for 1.2.5 > 1.3 was an absurdly long update time for the game? Different times.)
Didn’t have any bullies in high school (thankfully), but my elementary school bully ended up becoming one of my better friends. Nothing crazy, kid was just a shithead when he was little, he moved to the other side of the district and I didn’t see him again til HS. Completely different and really chill person by then.
I will forever maintain that 8th graders are the most vicious people on this planet
I had a relatively similar experience. Some people were definitely treated like shit, but there’s was nearly none of what’s classically considered bullying, especially of a physical nature. Im not pretending it was some utopia where everybody got alone, but the vast majority of people were far too busy worrying about their own shit.
Stares at most PDX games having increasing player counts
How much of this is the lack of people wanting to play strategy games vs the lack of good strategy games
