For all intents, it seems CAD is good for a while, at least til someone shows me a tool that goes straight from drawing to CAD and CAM paths. At least I’m also hoping myself. Besides, someone has to make those drawings, and for as long as my supervisors boss doesn’t know how even tools wear, I think we’re in the clear for.

Ive been sitting on some Orange Pi RiscV and ARM boards I’m hoping to turn into an arr stack soon here. My first task is to build a raidz1 from an existing mirror with about 2 of 8TB capacity, so it will take a minute.
Im going to be setting up Open Media Vault on an OrangePi RV2, which has 2 m.2 ports, one I have as cache and the other with a 9 sata adapter I’m yet to trial. Ideally this will be able to run off a larger lead acid battery and solar system for an extended period of time, just as a gimick.
I stupidly was hanging some ceiling drywall alone recently. I gotta say the ancient Egyptians would have respected my pulley work, more than OSHA for sure. Otherwise it would have been boring.
industrial aluminum profiles
If you don’t mind divulging, how does that stack against timber for cost at least for the time?
I thought I killed my analog oscilliscope about 20 minutes ago. Thankfully I didn’t, so that’s pretty cool.
If I’m smart, I’ll soon cut off basically everything news adjacent, maybe including lemmy depending if I can get good filters. Maybe a desprate effort to claw back from anything which weighs me down, given the gravity of our future, but eh.
And the best part? They knew it would happen! All in the name of scaping a few more dollars off the taxes we pay.

Yeah please elaborate?
Searching ‘bazzite development status’ on ddg barfed up This article and scrolling a bit further, saw no official or nonofficial discussion of fedoras changes (being any different for an already atomic distro??). The article is AI, and very SEO’d to be showing in the top from august last year
(Bold not added)
The future of the Bazzite Linux gaming distro hangs in the balance. While the inherent relationship with Fedora creates a symbiotic partnership, it also introduces significant challenges. To thrive in this dynamic environment, the Bazzite team must embrace proactive planning, foster a strong community, and implement smart mitigation strategies.
Nobody types this shit, I won’t lie you had me worried because I’ve very much enjoyed my experience with it so far across 3 PCs. And would be verh bummed if it came to that. But ffs this is the shit just searching for development status, and I wish sifting through this garbage wasn’t a requirement now

Funnily enough, I had this issue consistently using ubuntu based distros, and bazzite/fedora fixed it. It only started when i switched from an nvidia card to AMD on my ryzen system runnung PopOS, persisted with Mint, but is yet to reoccure on either my Intel/Nvidia or AMD systems. Very strange issue, I haven’t seen any definitive conlusion online

Have you had to sort clearly AI genned PRs? Just curious

WTF

“Character highlighting”, “flashbang recovery”, they just had to come up with some corporate sounding names for common cheats lmao. We’re just back to LAN parties as far as I’m concerned, sucks for the competitive scene though.

MEGA COLLATERAL

Although I do have mine exposed to the internet, I do think this is the simpliest way:
Have an additional DNS resolver capable of overriding your outbound request to your server to loop back instead. I’m not sure what you’ll need to do different if you’re using a domain for your certificate, you could likely add your local IPs to your DNS return. But using domains allows you to wildcard your DNS override to catch all connections you may have using subdomains
E: if anyone could let me know if they see this comment, it seems my instance is having issues federating

In the middle of my backswing?!

Sorry I have never looked into the specifics, but I read some way for flatpaks to listen for specific keybinds even in the background, it’s mostly a permissions thing IIRC.
Sorry I’m assuming bazzite Fedora as well.

Honestly though if you pulled out a picture with 14 monitors all with terminals, I would be impressed

Okay be real, you want to do all your networking config and drive pools and high availability all through the CLI?? There’s still a reason I use the CLI in the GUI but thats just nuts

Thank you again for your explainations. After being washed up with everything AI, I’m genuinely excited to set this up. I know what I’m doing today! I will surely be back

Okay pardon the double comment, but I now have no choice but to set this up after reading your explainations. Doing what TRILLIONS of dollars hasn’t cooked up yet… I hope you’re ready by whatever means you deam, when someone else “invents” this

I really need this. Each time I try messing with GPT4All’s “reasoning” model, it pisses me off. I’m selective on my inputs, low temperature, local docs, and it’ll tell me things like tension matters for a coil’s magnetic field. Oh and it spits out what I assume is unformatted LATEX so if anyone has an interface/stack recommendation please let me know
Lets go Ann Arbor!
